Argh. What's the minimum specs on it? Now I'm itching to try it out of my PC is capable...
I have finally give Assualt it's fair run. WOW way too much fun! It's Tribes, but with the fun factor of Halo BG CTF! This is going to be my downfall. :)
Hmm...I just got done and it was beween 7-20 for me. :DQuote:

My menu text is all blurry when I use the D3D display setting, when I use the software mode it looks fine.
Too bad when I use the software mode, the actual game looks crap.
Any suggestions? (I updated my display drivers and directX with no change)
I'm running it at 1024x768 with everything up, I'm surprised it doesn't look better (runs fine)
Because the maximum for a lot of stuff isn't in there. A lot of textures are pure blur (faces are completely indistinguishable in-game) which are sure to be scalable up to high-resolution levels by release.Quote:

Im actually perfectly happy with the music in the demo. It's some really nice stuff.
I like the music too. Just played a 16 player DM, man that shit was great. It's been awhile since I've played a FPS...so far it feels like a much better game than 2k3 was.
That's because it is.Quote:

Yeah, Onslaught is only barely playable on my machine, but DM's just fine. I really don't know how much Onslaught I'll be playing.
Dear people,
Please go buy new video cards. I'm well aware that Half-Life runs great for you but the time has come.
<3
Sl1p
PS: Your ATi Rage card is NOT, I repeat, is NOT going to be able to run Half-Life 2.
agreed.. it runs well even on my geforce fx 5200, which can be found for ~$60 now.
I'm planning on pre-ordering UT2K4 Special Edition at EBGames.com for $40.
I like to preorder since it gives the game more presence at stores when a company see's high preorder rates.
Only thing about buying it from EBGames.com would be, would you get the game at your door on the day it is released, or is the game shipped on the day of release?
I get really impatient with ordering things online.
Pre-Order! :)
If you choose 1-day shipping (Like I did for Max Payne 2 and now Ninja Gaiden) you should get it on the day of release, if not before sometimes.Quote:

Btw: I went on the UT2K4 built in IRC chat. It uses text-to-speech! Everything typed is spoken out. Friggin wicked. When you type "lol" it will even say "laugh out loud." Good enough to make even Stephen Hawkings proud!
We like to use that and make terrible jokes about the movie "The Net".
Sl1p: Awesome! A definite good buy it is. $40 and the Special Edition comes on two DVDs with added content and a Logitech headset. And if you get the Special Edition with EBGames (opposed to Gamestop), you get the car emblem normally given with the regular edition. No price difference between the regular and special edition at all the places I checked. Odd, but good.
Wow, a headset? Mine is from Radioshack and I'm not even sure if it works on UT2K4. At least, I didn't ask the famous "CAN ANYONE HEAR ME?" yet. It works fine for HL so who knows.
I would totally get the special edition set, but I don't have a DVD drive. Looks like I'm installing this thing with 6 CDs :(
