Mzo for me.
Looking for !!
Chux: I do recall saying it's on a cable modem connection, so it will vary. And I might have had a torrent going then, so that would contribute to laggyness. :D
Fraggler: Good points on the co-location stuff, of course. We'll see what I get -- I have a feeling it will be definately better than 2mbps down/384kbps up, and that's really what I'm shooting for. It's just another toy, really. More money will be budgeted for it if I start making money off it.
*browses server log* Wow, quite a few of you have been playing. Excellent. :tu: Let me know if you want it switched to another gametype. I have to do that manually, since Epic's not provided a real server with real map configs yet.
UPDATE! Parts for desktop upgrade purchased. Will cycle old parts into server box. Plan to have server online in datacenter place sometime Monday.
It looks like there was a brief period where it couldn't contact the master server, but that appears to be resolved.Quote:

Suggestion would be to pick a "Atari Epic Official..." server for us till Lhadatt gets things up smoothly?
Something like that. Unless you have a major penchant for driving into a wall while my shots have their own choice of whether or not to exist.Quote:

Yeah, crashed for me too. It was just getting fun, too :( Anyway, we need a new server, like, now. I didn't care for 2K3 all that much, but shit this is fun.
I'm Andy787 in-game, btw. Dunno if anyone answered it in this thread, but is there any way to manually add people to your buddy list? Goddamn, it's been such a long time coming for in-game buddy lists in FPSes. Awesome.
and how do you add people? i got an empty list and don't see a add buddy button.
I doubt it's my box. We'll see when I upgrade it. I don't really care for the buggy nature of the game at the moment, hopefully this is just pertaining to the demo.Quote:

my kingdom for a server
Doh, down again.
The server "Atari Epic Official...West 21" was at the end of a match so thats why it said 0/16. As soon as the new map came up it was 16/16. Theyre all full and have to wait.
Is there a server thats sponsored by an ISP or Alienware thats empty? Those are usually good bets. Post the server here if you find one!
Ah! So that's where you can add the buddies. Can't do it in-game. :(
So, where did everyone go? I may retire the server for a bit or try limiting the number of players. It seems more bandwidth-sensitive than Halo (and that's very, very odd).
Let's try "Traffx UT2K4 Onslaught!", it's empty and has the lowest ping I could see, hopefully it's stable with a lot of players. g0g0g0!
I'm trying to find a server that supports 16 people, that has 0 or few people in it, sponsored by an ISP or company, or other good sounding servers. Too many people are creating default named servers and such to dig through.
Off to Andy's land
If anyone can post an IP for that server I'll join. I can't find it on the list.

seems to be having a bit of trouble at the moment.
