Probably one of the best out there.

It's updated daily and has pretty much anything you could ask for. Comics, Movies, TV Shows, Games (Radiant Silvergun in on there in the Saturn Section), Anime and so on.

If it's a new torrent, it's on there and usually the seeds are really fast.

Not a bad site. Less torrents than Supr, and they usually go a tad slower, but still good. This one actually has teh pron, and supr doesn't, so it's got that going for it. Worth checking out.

From Russia With Love: History of Tetris and History of Computers/Videogames on BBC is on there right now. The rest is just English Soap Operas and TV shows, but it's pretty popular and the seeds go fast.

I get stuck DL'ing EastEnders for my mother 4x a week, and the 300 meg files take less than an hour.

That's all I have so lets hear some more.

It's a sort of ass backwords way to do this. But if you MUST use one, and they don't allow it, you can use one of those free AOL CDs. Thats how I use BT's while at school. I use it while im in class or asleep to DL things. Be warned though, if you don't wish to pay a fee you have to cancel before the time is up on the CD and it pretty much goes unsaid that AOL is going to screw up your computer.

Not really worth it that much to me honestly. Although I would love to download some tv shows...

I know of a few sites that though that I can download songs from, just via regular internet.

I've been using Supernova for quite a time now, and its been awesome. But lately, I dont like some of the changes they made.

You know, sometimes I don't know what the hell is going on with bittorrent. I'm trying to get Infernal Affairs 3, I see that there's 16 peers, 5 seeds, total speed 650 kb/s (it was over 1000 kb/s yesterday). I'm sharing at my max upload of 25 kb/s, and yet it's not uploading at the max speed and I'm only downloading at 0-9 kb/s even after a few hours. WTF?

Bittorrent never gets over 15 KiB/s for me. How much is a KiB anyway?

I got a trick, if anyone's using shadow's BT, in 'Settings for' scroll down to isdn/dial up and reduce 'upload rate' all the way down to 3.

You'll get a faster d/l speed. (works for me)

Everyone needs to get this version of bittorrent, more options and features.

Someone teach me how to use this thing. I downloaded the "experimental" client, it installed and everything. Now, when I click on any of the links from the torrent sites you guys posted, a the little window pops up like its gonna download, but it never starts and I get a little red error messages saying something like "File doesnt exist at C: \Documents and Settings..." How do I get teh pron?

just download the little torrent file (right-click, save-as), then execute it from wherever you downloaded it...

Yeah, that's the trick. When that file launches it'll ask you where you want to save the file.

I have no idea what BT client I've been using. I like it tho. I just got up to 81 kb DL while I uploaded 17 kb. If this comp wassn't over 8 years old I'd be doing some serious speeds.

BT has beem disabled at my school as well. God damn this place right to hell.

I don't blame them.

Go buy DSL and use your own bandwidth.

What is a good setting for Uploads/Upload Max?

It says DL rate is proportional to upload rate, so does that mean the higher I put them, the faster it DL's or something?

Can't find a faq on this.

Care to give a simple walkthrough or setting suggestion?

Hmmm...I changed the thing in the lower left box to DSL Fast and that seems to auto adust the settings, so I guess my question is moot.

Pretty cool how it has the rating of Uploads to Downloads, will make it much easier to shut it off when it gets to 1.5 upped to 1.0 DL'ed.

I really dont see the point of these unofficial clients. They're just a solution in search of a problem.

I click on a torrent and run it. I dont try to limit uploads or anything, I get what I get.

It works perfectly.

And while Im posting in here, on Suprnova, it seems like nothing is listed in the sections pages - I click on them but all I get are the directory listings and no torrents. What's going on?

Yea same with me, I just click and DL. I don't even think I have anything TO adjust. So far my record has been 130 kb sec, I thought my comp was gonna lock up.

Anyone know what the deal is when running BT through a firewall? On ABC and Shadow's, they both have a little color indicator, which is almost always yellow. They say it might be because of a firewall, but I allow BT to pass through it (supposedly), but I still don't get that fast a speed....

I also had this promblem, I was using my router and was getting really bad speeds. It would take 3-4 hours to download a show I would get an average of 20Kb download speed. However I connected directly to my modem, and get speeds at around 56Kb/s...

However if your behind a firewall, is it hardware or software..

What you need to do is open ports 6881-6999

Gotta click on a specific thing you're looking for now, that opens an iframe with the torrent listings under that category. It helps with bandwidth and page rendering.

What kind of router do you have? I access my linksys router by typing in 192.168.1.1 in a web browser. There are options to forward ports from there.

I use shad0w's client, and i usually throttle my upload to 25-30k/sec. Your download speeds will suffer if you let it max out your connection. The reason that some people upload aty 25k/sec at download at 3k/sec is because of people like klonoa, who severely limit their uploads.

Hmm I'm using Sygate Personal (software) firewall. I checked out the settings in Shadow's BT, it looks like I've got the right ports opened. I'm gonna try connecting to the cable modem and see (right now I'm using a hub).

I've got an Efficient Networks Speedstream Busniess class DSL router. I've checked the manual & their website but I can't find any info on how to dissable any part of the built in firewall.

Can't get any higher than 3 kbps. ARRRRGH!

Been using Soulseek a bit lately, and I'm not understanding it.

Is there a way to search for video files only, and narrow down the fields like you can in Kazaa?
