Ascii Pad FT feels nice and has good buttons, but the d-pad isn't exactly top-notch. I'd take a stick over it for the sake of precision.Quote:

I love my Agetecs. The pads are good, too, but I'll always prefer a stick to a pad for fighting games.
I like the feel of the Agetec arcade sticks for the DC. They're great for fighters, but I did notice that when trying to play Border Down with it, that the reaction time seemed slower. It's great for games like SF3 though. Never used the Ascii pad.
Ascii Pads were good, but I actually broke one of the plastic protuding slabs underneath the directional pad from too much use, rendering the controller useless. I now use the supremo Saturn controller and a Saturn > DC converter.
I concur on the stick being good for fighting games, although I'm interested in picking up an X-Arcade for its multi-console functionality.
Ascii pads. I feel I can move a little easier when I'm using the d-pad, And it's much more comfortable to use than a stick(IMHO).
Agetec for me. Those ASCII D-Pads feel like ass.
Do the Agetec Stick have a octogon guide or a square guide...if octo..than can you inform me of were i may purchase said sticks?

It's square, JB. As for purchases, you won't find them new anymore - maybe used on eBay or in Game stores, that's the best I can tell you.
It's not supremo because it's still a bitch to hit Px3 or Kx3, making my Zangief partially ass.Quote:

Are you sure about that? I can feel the sensors click on the angles as well. It also has a smooth rotation, when you do a circular motion.Quote:

Nothing feels right when performed, from 360's to even fire ball and dragon punch motions...it feels garbage. I picked up that shadowbane stick..its okay but the square guide kills it. To bad really, its black and heavy...like me :)

I'm a huge fan of the DC Ascii pad FT.
I use it for every game that doesn't require analogue control.
I much prefer pads over sticks, and I think the ASCII pads (both the DC and PSX) are very, very good.
Keep in mind I also only use them for shooters as opposed to fighters (don't play those).
Does anyone know were i may be able to get some DC ascii pads....mine are starting to lose functionality...to much Garou and SF3 i guess. Help would be much appreciated.

I would imagine that finding them new these days might be a bit difficult.
Ebay is probably your best bet.
I have an extra one floating around somewhere... if I can find it, I'll let you know.
