My girlfriend was in a car wreck on Friday night. She's ok, but the car was totalled. There goes any Valentine's Day plans. The area we live in has no access to public transportation, so we don't have any means of getting around, and we just moved up here, so we don't have any friends that live nearby. Insurance isn't going to pay enough to get a new car either.
How was your weekend? :P

Not sure what happened - tire blowout maybe. She was just driving along, then boom, lost control, smashed into the center highway divide. Crumpled the front end of the car, shattered the driver side window. She's all bruised up, but she's ok.
Just outside Leesburg. Between Leesburg and Sterling. Also directly across from Ashburn. It's located on route 7...
Glad to hear your woman's OK, man. And don't let what happened ruin the chance for some love. Just ask her if she's sore anywhere from the accident, massage accordingly, and see where it goes from there ;)
Oh, and I've been in an accident before where my tire blew out, it happened while I was on the interstate and the car rolled several times, so I know how dangerous those can be. Really glad she came out of it not much worse for the wear.

i had a tire blow once and i could barely even tell except the car started to shake a bit. You people driving SUVs?

Blowouts on a the of a Front wheel drive car are worse, and if you happen to be in the middle of a turn when it happens it can really suck.
I had a blowout doing about 40, slammed into a curb and did about $2500 worth of damage.
Then, over the car's lifespan I had to replace almost every item that didnt get replaced after the accident on that side of the car, wheel bearing, tie rods, steering rack, etc...
If you need a car badly, I'll sell you my RX7.
