The hypocrisy of this whole situation is both tragic and funny. They don't want their child exposed to it, but they have no problem with their child forfully showing the term in a phrase multiple times, to the other kids.

if it werent for the irony, i woudl say this is not even thread-worthy, there is almost always some angry parent complaining about some book in school reading lists, maybe they should back off and let the teachers actually implement their lesson plan without trying to second guess them and sit on them. Mark twain's stuff getsthis a lot due to the n-word, i guess parents feel comfortable if they only hear it on every other rap song out there, thats a much better cultural context.
