Kirby - Great Labyrinth of the Mirror
-
If It's anything like Kirby Superstar I'm all over this shiznit.
-
That looks spiffy, funny you should mention Super Star, as I just reviewed it.
-
Link? I'd be glad to read it.
-
I don't think it's made it up to GameFAQs just yet, but when it does, I'll link to it here. Also, those backgrounds are just stunning.
-
Man these screens are just screaming SuperStar. I want more.
-
They need a Kirby's Avalanche remake for the GBA
-
There's already one. It's called Puyo Pop. It's the same game, basically.

I think they even use the same format for the characters speaking between levels. It's not that it's basically the same game, it really IS the same game.
On a side note, has anyone else noticed that whoever made Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine left Carbuncle dancing where he usually does between the two playing fields just like in Puyo Puyo?
-
Is Carbuncle the little orange dude?
-
Oh damn, thanks for the heads up on Puyo Pop

how about kirby bowling? or dream course. or whatever the minigolf game is called.
-
Ah, thanks for the info, Chaos. And yes, Kirby's Dream Course is the Kirby mini-golf game, a game that I've had quite a bit of fun with since buying it a couple of years ago for next to nothing. Also, here's a link to my Kirby Super Star review - http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/review/R69274.html

Didn't Kirby have the UFO ability in Kirby's Adventure?
-
Kinda off topic..holy shit Jeremy you have written a lot of reviews for Gamefaqs!!

yeah. it's nifty.
-
animegirl, yes, I have, and I've done more than that, as I haven't backed up a few review copy reviews on there yet. I also cleared some of the clutter out a while back once CJayC allowed the contributors to do it themselves, rather than wait for him to do it.
-
HOLY CRAP!!!!
Jeremy...you are Jpeeps?!
Do you remember me at all?
And that totally explains the long reviews...
-
Yup, you were one of the key reviewers I remember reading way back when, along with dy$e and Fadden.
-
Well, good to see you are still in it. I have not talked to any of you guys really since leaving there and have not written a single video game review since removing them all.
-
Thanks. I haven't talked to all that many reviewers, mainly due to an idiotic fallout over me doing review of the day about a year and a half ago. Also, quite a few guys have had their stuff removed due to the CNET buyout.

I believe the proper spelling of Fadden is "McFaggen".
-
Hehe, not a fan, eh? At least he's better than Matt90210, what an ego he had/has.
-
Pretty much. I was friends with him for a short time, but his personality slowly grinded away the respect I had for him.
-
Yeah. He was quite a delusional little douchebag when I hired him on for a Sega site about three years ago, expecting free games because he was gracing the site with his presence. He also bitched me out for not accepting an editorial on the control differences between the NBA 2K and NBA Live games.
I'd hoped that his ego would cool down when I hired him for Game2Extreme a year or so ago, but it didn't, same old attitude problems he always had, although now he had spiffy new excuses for them. Quite a few of the reviewers there had that "holier than art thou" attitude about their stuff though, thinking that staff-run sites didn't deserve their stuff.
-
Just picked this up today. My first ever Kirby experience (including SSB since I never played those). The whole calling-your-Kirby-friends-with-a-cell-phone thing is what sold me. Any fans of this one? How does it compare to other Kirby adventures? I was always curious about The Crystal Shards on N64.
-
Crystal Shards is simple, short, but fun. If you can find it and already have an N64, it's worth the used price. Otherwise you got a good deal with the GBA version.
