I just played 5 hours of a near-mediocre game, I think I'm still hooked on it, but alot of times it feels like the more I play, the duller it gets. But in a sense where it becomes routine, not where i hate it. I suppose it's due to the fact that im not a 5 minute game guy. I'll pick something up, and skip Quantitive Methods class for it.

I've had times, when I'd go through a gaming slump. It happened big time in the 16-bit era. All the games started to look alike and the gameplay became too simular. The Sega CD helped get me back into gaming for another year or 2, but I got bored with it all. Then came the Sega Saturn and the other 2 consoles. Gaming was good again and had my interest for the long haul.
I started getting bored with the 32/64 bit consoles and then the Dreamcast came along and made it fun again. I've enjoyed the DC alot, as well as the PS2 and Gamecube.
I bought a PC in May of last year and have enjoyed the different pace that it's games have brought as well. I occasionally bust out the DC, as the VGA support makes it easy to use. My GC and PS2 have seen little play in the last 3 or 4 months.
At the end of March, I'm getting a new house and my wife is letting me have one bedroom for all my gaming needs. I think this will help in getting my interest back into the console games more. Disgaea has been on hold for far too long.
Can't say I've ever gotten sick of gaming in general though I rarely play most of the newer console games these days since they tend to not appeal to me in the slightest(And I truley hate the bigtime cinematic appraoch almost every game seems to take these days). As a result a large amount of my gaming is done on Mame and I'm also constantly discovering older games I never got around to messing with. Like recently I tried out Fire Pro Wrestling D and I'm hooked.

I notice one thing I rarely get tired of is staying on the computer all day, i must discuss more on games some days then play them. Trying to change that, because it's not right.
I think wasting my time on the internet is killing whatever interest I had.
