That would be correct, but you must ask yourself what is "similarly" refering to in the sentences we have used as examples? The equality of the two concepts it connects or the equality of the action of the concepts it connects?

The above statement shouldn't be used by anyone who is serious about this issue. It is a bullshit play on the emotions of the people. Instead of making a logical argument to make people understand why it is wrong to deprive gays of this right, this statement plays on the emotions and stupidity of people. It is meant to make people react with "oh Godz Im not the racest, let the gays have the marriage and the bling bling, just don't call me raciest." It tries to get one group what it wants by using the fear most people have of being considered raciest (which mind you, in this day and age, could get you killed or a good ass beating).

Horrible and/or stupid people use said types of hate/fear/shock tactics to win arguments. TNL has no need of such things, and all of you are above this.

Please, from this point on, the African American/ slavery issue needs to be dropped. Make your points with reasons and logic. There are very good reasons that depriving Gays of basic rights is wrong. And none of them have to do with black people.
