I don't even know if the FM portion of the tuner works, as the only things I have ever used the tuner for was one local talk station (not CC, but Infinity almost as bad) and the DOT's traffic alert station.

XM radio + MP3 CD playback = never having to deal with crap broadcasting ever again.

If any good came from this, is that the no talent ass-clown Bubba the love sponge is off the Air. I stopped listening to radio right after CC killed Dee Snider's great morning show for that garbage.

The worst part about Bubba was that old guy who made those prank calls. And then Bubba would be like, "HOWARD STERN! I'M COMING FOR YOU, YOU PUSSY! BLAAAAGHGHDH:LBLBLBBLBLB#E!!!@#231!" Like Howard Stern even listened to his show.

Had he taken the time to cuss at Imus, then maybe I'd have listened to him after they rudely canned Dee like that.

Totally agreed. IMO you can toss the rest of the Constitution and the government out the window if you don't respect the First Amendment.

But Clear Channel isn't the government and thus can't censor anything. All it can do is hand its competitors profits and marketshare by letting them have Stern.

The man thrives off of controversy, and this is only helping him.

384kpbs Lame encoded VBR MP3s sound terrific, add in the noisefloor from even the quietest of cars and you wont notice a difference.

And give me a low bitrate XM channel over a static ridden, heavyly compressed FM broadcast anyday..

Actually it can, and that's effectively what it's doing. All the more reason to figure out some way to prevent or mitigate the impact of media conglomeration.

They ruined a handfull of good radio stations out here in the SF area. I dont wake up early enough for howard anymore, so as long as E keeps showing is show, everything is good.
