Will watch it later at home.
Already? I didn't expect to see this so soon.
Another MK game or the trailer?Quote:

The trailer. After the success of the last installment I knew Midway would milk it, I just expected it to be later on. But I suppose you're right. Two years sounds about right.
Does "Deception" mean that there might actually be a good game hidden behind the MK title? :p
I think that it's something no one will agree with, but I think DA was a pretty nice 3D fighter. What sucked about it to me was the actual storyline and everything else. It didn't feel like a Mortal Kombat title to me. While the series might not be often remembered for it's amazing mythology I still felt that the last game didn't capture the same style. I hated the look of the game's engine, and a lot of the new characters felt misplaced. But then again, Tobias was always the one who planned out the story.
I'm sure Kano on the Phone would never agree with you on that.Quote:

And if you don't feel like signing up...
I think that Baraka is the Bat-Boy's father.
Link dosen't work :(Quote:

I really liked DA, and I'm betting I'll like this, but I cannot view the trailer until tomorrow, when I'll have access to a faster connection.
Heh nice trailer.
FINISH HIM! OUTSTANDING!
BTW I noticed Mileena and Baraka are back along with some new dude in all red with a black ninja mask, some big blue'ish black armor guy and some cool stages like one made of wood and another chamber with red windows or something.
ok, i'm gonna paste my post from neomega of what i saw when i went frame by frame:
-baraka is in
-mileena is in
-some new guy/gal using snake stance kung fu(with white FLAT rice hat)
-some new guy that looks like shredder from the TMNT cartoon
-bg deaths are IN(i'll have a flash of this posted in a couple minutes)
-some new ninja lookin dude in all red(maybe kenshi with a new outfit?)
-interactive bg's(sorta like DoA, but without the pastel color scheme and gayness)
-a shao kahn like skull made a few appearances(and the eyes in the trailer looks almost exactly like he did in the comic series)
-a shot of subzero's "new" fatalaty(looks to be a remake of the freeze em and blow em up)
-i got no idea wtf those guys at mk5.org are talkin bout with nightwolf, but if you watch that flash and compare it with the video; it's fairly obvious that the guy getting kicked into the twirlin spikes o doom is baraka-

Is the trailer up anywhere else? After looking at some pictures on mk5.org it looks like mileena got a boob job since the last game she was in.
Yeah that backround spike fatality was awesome thanks for the flash MrWhitefolks.
Yeah, so I'm trying to see that trailer.

That skull definitely looks like Shao Kahn's maybe he comes back but the eyes looked more like Baraka's. Maybe Baraka has a bigger role and tries to resurrect him.Quote:

Hey now, don't be throwing that technical mumbojumbo around.Quote:

Excellent trailer. Doesn't show a lot, but enough to make even me, not a huge MK fan, very curious about what's going to happen in the game.
They'll fightQuote:

Spektakular.

Non-gamespotted. And non-editted. :D The pit fatality in all its glory!

I thought DA was fanatasic for an MK game, just need more fatalities per person, less lame characters, and stage fatatlities. I'm getting my wish so far.
wait....you think kahn is back......but still dead? weird.
No, he's letting everyone think that he is dead, and using Baraka as his pawn.Quote:

They also have screen grabs, near the end there's a fighter who looks REALLY similar to raiden, but he's in yellow, green, and has a circular white hat instead of the pointy one, and he's hitting a real blurry guy who Gamespot thinks is Nightwolf.Quote:
Possible truthes...
UPDATE: We have confirmed through an anonymous source within Midway that the red ninja is in fact Ermac! This should end speculation concerning the identity of at least one of the new fighters. Our thanks to our source for the heads-up!
Last, it is now known that the next installment will see the return of a Konquest mode, new puzzle and board games, and interactive stages that will effect the outcome of the fight itself.
MK5 - MK6 > MK1 - MK2
That pit fatality was both funny and gory, can't wait to play this already.
If anybody is being obsessed with ruling all the realms, it's Shang Tsung. And as far as I can remember, he didn't have a general death in MK: DA so that's a very plausable explanation.
But the thing is that Baraka worked directly for Shao Kahn back in number 2, plus all the fucking skull imagery in the trailer.Quote:

Then again, this is the MK storyline...
"Shao Kahn! I thought you were dead!" "I was!!!"
I guarantee that will be what happened. "I faked my death so that I could take over the realms once Quan Chi and Shang Tsung were gone!!!"Quote:

I disagree. Quan Chi was always a cool character. Shang Tsung might be obsessed with ruling the realms, but Quan Chi is the only one with the power to actually do it.
I'm trying to d/l the trailer right now. I'll be back after I've seen it.
*shrug* Usually when a character dies in the MK world, they end up either ascending to the heavens (like Johnny Cage) or ending up trapped in the Netherealm (like Scorpion and Mileena). It's kind of like William Shatner talking about Star Trek V: "Everyone dies in this film. But, in the tradition of true science-fiction.... not exactly."
Oh, there's no GameCube version of the game either, so looks like I'll be picking up a PS2... heh.
(EDIT: Gah, should have realized Kano on the Phone's Fight Club thread was about the lack of a GC port... heh.)
You mean this won't be on the GC? Sweet...only a few more platforms to go and this series will be gone. Well, I liked the second one.
I saw the trailer, and it looks really cool.
5 hours left for a 6 meg trailer... sometimes it feels like I don't have cable.
IGN posted two PSM images, I'm going to buy the mag without a doubt as well as the game.

Sub Zero is going to get those blasted Turtles.
I hope there's a "sweat code".
If Kano makes it into the game, and he should, I won't need one.Quote:

Why does Sub-Zero need the fur, is he afraid of getting cold?
Anyway, is Mileena the one with Baraka teeth? I forget.
yeah that was kinda what went through my head. They need to seriously rethink that costume of his.Quote:
