Yep--I really do like Timber. It's too bad it's pretty much impossible on level 8+. You have to haul to the next tree, and in fact, run in a direction and get lucky a few times, not get hit by any acorns, beehives or whatever, and hope you make it. Otherwise, you lose a life and the level starts over.
Okay, I sat up a few hours last night fucking around with the PS2 version. Overall, it's fine.
MK2, aside from some flickering shadows, is perfect, no muffled sound or anything. I love it. It's actually kinda neat that I'm playing the actual arcade version and not a port.
MK3, however, has muffled sound out the ass. It's actually pretty bad, but I was never a big MK3 fan anyway.
I must point out that these are the first disc-based MK games where Shang Tsung's morph works without any problems. Yay!
Rampage seems fine, aside from a few sound issues...the music stops halfway through the level- I don't remember the arcade version doing that, but who knows. Also some gameplay sound effects carry over to the in-between level screens with the scientist chick who tallies your scores.
Xenophobe = perfect.
Total Carnage, aside from maybe some slightly muffled sound, is perfect. No slowdown, nothing.
Primal Rage = perfect.
Pit Fighter does seem to play about a million times faster than it did in the arcade. I always knew Pit Fighter sucked regardless, but I don't remember it being THIS unplayable before...it's horrible. But who cares.
That's all I've tried so far. I'll get to the rest this weekend. I hope NARC is okay.

Oh yea.
I know that entire song, for reals, I just never put 2 and 2 together.
Pit Fighter isn't really the greatest game (I sure wouldn't work at 1-crediting it), but it can be fun for an occasional 5-minute jaunt. If you couldn't kick enemies when they are down, then it'd be totally bad.Quote:

Thank goodness for a version without the damn Shang Tsung loading- imagine how bad that ruined the timing for the Mighty Morphin' Power Juggle, one devastating combo with a triple fireball and a Jax morph for the Gotcha Grab.
NARC is perfect (on XBOX).Quote:
