FREDDY VS. JASON 2 - Jeff Katz has done a 20-page internal treatment. It brings back the "Ash" (Bruce Campbell) character from the EVIL DEAD franchise. New Line is negotiating with CAA/Raimi to see if they can get him into this movie, with the then intent to do EVIL DEAD 4. Shannon & Swift won't be doing this.
Oh, and to whet your appetite, here's a fanfic of a possible movie poster.
Please let this happen. And somebody beg Raimi to direct it.

Evil Dead movies are fun (well, the last two, anyway), but I can't handle FvJ... I honestly hope this doesn't happen so I have no drive to see the damn movie.
I don't like the idea of Ash getting involved in anyway. I don't see how it could work. And it doesn't get much more cult favorite than Ash, not everyone knows him or would care enough to see him. Sounds lame to me.
Raimi has said he'd love to do Evil Dead 4, and considering Spiderman being like the highest grossing movie ever and Spidey 2 probably doing the same, he'll probably be able to do whatever the hell he wants:) FvsJvsAsh has been a rumor for a while now, and if it happens I wonder how Ash would fit into their universe. Personally, I think Ash is leagues better than those other guys and if the movie happens Freddy and Jason should be thankful they're sharing a movie with him:)
Well, if the plans are to make an Evil Dead 4 afterwards, then it's a reasonable assumption that Ash wins. That's something I'd endorse, fully.
Jason almost looks scared in that pick, he knows Ash will own3 him! :nod:

I didn't even like F V J that much myself because of the awful AWFUL shit acting the other actors had when the movie isn't kicking ass with the Freddy and Jason confrontations.
