Should we resort to public demonstrations?

The news of the middle east just pisses me off, today we just had another suicide bombing claiming "unofficially" 223 muslems during a ceremonial gathering and a forth bomber was caught because of his detonator malfunction.

Judging by this, he's likely to be in prison for the rest of his life or executed, but the way I see it, we can be inhumane just as much as the one's responsible for the bombings by having the prisoner tourtured to death in the open public as a clear warning over what these attempts will lead to. It was used as a common practice in the midevil era, like seeing Mel in Braveheart getting his guts ripped out in front of everyone before beheading. Doing such acts in todays world wouldn't be allowed by the geneva convention, but if it scares terrorists into thinking twice I think it may be worth it.

Of course, I'd like to see this guy castrated. :nod:

You are stupid. Do you honestly think that any kind of torture would scare off suicide bombers? What you need to do is remove the hate, but that would require actually understanding them.

This isn't about the hate, it's more of a moral question which I'd like to see addressed.

That may be true, we didn't see any troops getting bombed until we took over. I fear the damage may aready be done and the killing is just gonna get worse due to both saddam loyalists and al-Qaida rebels that won't quit until we get out of their country. Even then muslims may still be bombed.

I just thought I saw something different, nm.

You wont scare suicide bombers by threatening to draw and quarter them, they'd consider it an honor. Remember, they are strapping the dynamite to their chests and pushing the button with the clear belief that doing so is sending them to paradise forever to live out eternity with 50 virgin girls. Why you'd want virgins is beyond me, they dont put out.

What you need to do to stop the bombings is 1 remove the hate, 2, ensure prosperity of the entire region and not just the ruling elite, and 3, prove conclusively that blowing yourself up will not get you into heaven. 4 (my own personal opinion) Ban all religion out right in the region for the next 1000 years. In fact I'd get rid of it all together, everywhere, but in the middle east especially.
