Buena Vista Interactive has just announced that it is currently preparing an enhanced version of the PC title
Tron 2.0 (sequel to the 80's-riffic sci-fi classic
Tron) for the Xbox. Called
Tron 2.0: Killer App, the game will be online-enabled, allowing Xbox Live subscribers to compete in light-cycle races and first-person shooting matches.
The game's plot centers on an army of rogue programs occupying a war-torn computer system, controlled by a human user known only as Thorne. As another human who has been brought to the computer world, it is the player's job to destroying Thorne's army, as well engage in a few races and gunfights on the side.
Killer App is currently in development at
Sudeki developer Climax, who hope to have the game ready by this fall. "We saw Climax as the perfect choice and look forward to providing gamers with an even edgier, action-packed Tron universe," said Bob Picunko, director of marketing for Buena Vista.
