Eisner used to be a talent agent and was the one who got Letterman where he is now.
Thats fucking Awesome
FUCK YOU EISNER FUCK YOU IN THE EAR WITH A 10 INCH DILDO
Whoa, I wonder if I can surprise my Girlfriend with this info... usually she's on top of Disney stuff.
It ain't a done deal yet, dude.
 Fuck him, I'm glad he's gone. Let him go fuck up UPN or something.
Actually, no. Eisner is still CEO, but at the latest shareholder's meeting it was decided to appoint George Mitchell (former U.S. Senate Majority Leader, and a good guy) as chairman of the board. Eisner was formerly chairman and CEO of Disney.
Funny, even though Eisner is so widely despised at Disney, he still has enough power to bully the shareholders.
Yeah, Eisner isn't out yet... in fact he's said specifically he has no plans to resign.
Meh, I jumped the gun then. I'm just so excited by this news, I'm being way too hopeful.
Regardless, I think it's too late. Eisner has fucked up Disney too much already.
Too late.Quote:

Well the biggest thing is that he's the one that fucked up their relationship with Pixar.
Seems like he's also the one that took Disney from over-merchandising everything to REALLY over-merchandising everything...
He's also one of the biggest opponents to consumer fair usage. I really can't stand the man.
The last thing we need is him dabbling in congress, maybe it'd be better for disney to keep him?
I have no pity for the plight of a man who approves an endless line of crappy straight to video sequels to movies that should have been left alone.
They should dethaw Walt to tell him the good news.
My initial reaction to this news was pure elation, and it still holds true. Sadly, the guy still has power in the company, but not as much.
Wasnt there a time when ABC was the #1 network?
And when Disney animated films were world-renowned?
And Disney was one of the top-tier American corporations that people named with Microsoft, Boeing, and whoever else?
Now, ABC is shit, and has been shit for years, there arent gonna be any more Disney animated films, and Disney sucks ass.
Someone's gotta take the fall for this, and Eisner is apparently too fucking dense to realize this. It's time for him to wake up.
Diff hit the nail on the head. Oh, but they DID make some WONDERFUL sequels to classic films, effectively raping them...
Exactly. Closing down their cell animation studios and getting rid of Pixar pretty much means they should just close their doors. I mean, isn't that what Disney was supposed to be about, Animated films??? And the whoring out of classics for straight-to-video shitty sequels is a sham and a sin and needs to stop. Sister Bear, you know it's coming... and the original movie wasn't even classic material...Quote:
