Sweet
Yep, just saw my email and registered for mine as well :D
Pimp, thanks.
I am so there :)
on my Top 10 anticipated games for 2004, thanks for the heads up!!!
A Square game that is worth what you have to pay to get it! Woohoo!
I am interested in Front Mission, though, so I guess it's time to sign up on Enix's web site. :p
OMGS SO ON IT!
Excelent!
I wish my demo was here already. :(
only 125.000 free copies. Tried emailing them for confirmation. hope they reply. I suppose they choose the first 125.000 from the US and save shipping costs :/
Yep. It says something about it being first come first serve.
I got this demo in the mail today. Check your mailboxes, it should be on it's way.

I really hope I get one. I'll be pissed if I don't.
Lucky. Still waiting for my friend at Square Enix to send me mine. This is also the first time I've played the Front Mission series. Perhaps I should try to get the last three. :)
*considers filing for another*
Atleast try FMIII on psone.
Mine has yet to come, but either way I have the full version preordered...*but I hope I get the demo and then after I play it, I will gladly pass it on to one of you suckers who didn't get one*
See, I'm worried. The last time I signed up on PlayOnline, I was supposed to get a Vivi doll, but that never came. Not getting this may make me swear off Square games forever.
I've get to get mine, so hopefully it'll come soon and I'll be able to try out this series.

Just a heads up though, that if you really want the demo, it will be on the new Jampack that comes out April 27.
Hard to find...and I refuse to even dealing with eBay.Quote:

got my demo today. sent form clear lake, mn?
No demo for me yet. :(
same here. :DQuote:

You know the Japanese Vivi doll they had for a promo is a bit different from the USA version... I have both ;)
Still no Front Mission 4 demo, hopefully I get it before they send me the full version :)
Just got my demo.
You win this time, Square.
This time...
I'm ASSUMING that only later stages allow you to make a normal save. I'm only getting QuickSave options...
...and, just so you guys know, GameFAQs says there's a secret mission in the demo. When you beat all of them, press Up on the topmost mission.
"Oh, my God. We're going to steal it... aren't we?"
Here's the thread with the info on how to get the extra mission - http://cgi.gamefaqs.com/boards/genme...topic=13740415 Oh, and I think the next OPM is going to have a Front Mission 4 demo in it as well, and apparantly, GameStop's going to be having some as well.
I no have a copy yet. :(

Got mine today, I'll be trying it out later tonight.
Damn, my local Gamestops didn't get the demo, and it hasn't come in the mail... Well, worst case scenario, I'll get it on the new Jampack this Tuesday.
I just got mine today, too. And away I go!

i got my demo in the mail 20 minutes after i made my previous post.
and it also says something, on the front, about it being vol.2 in their demo collection or something. what was vol.1?
Volume one was the Drakengard demo.
Uh, Drakenguard, maybe? That's the only Squenix demo I have a stand alone disc of.
Edit: You win this time, CV... *shakes fist*
Ha-HA! I always win. :D
I just got done with the demo. I am in love with this game. Think like it's Front Mission 3, right, only it's better.
Heh, notice the word --- "your", they haven't gotten over to my neck of the woods yet. =\Quote:

So any impressions on the demo?
my copy came in yesterday.) i only played for 10 minutes, though.
impression: it's essentially fm3 with sharper textures/models.
one hellva intro tho.
When you are directing your units where to go, giving them actions, etc. do you still have the same isometric overhead view perspective - and are the action and cutscenes still the only time you get the cool close-up shots of the mechs?
yes and yes.Quote:

The game, as I had mentioned, is fundamentally unchanged from FM3.
But it's better, too.
I haven't even played Front Mission 3 yet. :\ I've played the first one though!Quote:

Demo is nice, but am I missing something? I wasn't able to save and continue through the next mission, I mean I can play them all, but stats aren't being carried over...I'm assuming they just didn't want to do the save thing in the demo, or that I am just missing how to save at the end of each mission.
I agree about the graphics, reminds me of very early PS2 stuff, like Gungriffon Blaze...but still has the same great atmosphere and music.
ssb
I figured it out. If you do a quicksave in the middle of a stage and you continue from it, it loads your completed levels.
...and, eventually, it gives you the chance to REALLY save.
well thats dumb. i was sitting there last night wondering the same thing ssbomberman was.
well then, very interesting...I'll have to replay my shizz tonight and save it this time. Thanks!
Target aquired.
Front Mission 4 demo getted.
Any word on if the demo save will carry over to regular version? I doubt it, but thought I'd see...
I got my demo yesterday. I'll give it a spin tonight.
What the fuck is that attrocity in your sig, ssbomberman?
I didn't get to play my copy last night.
I'm a bit sad about it really.
Just my nod to the greatest fighting game of the last decade is all...don't worry I still love teh Street Fighter...just making way for the future...Quote:

Erm, what format is Front Mission 4 gonna be on? :noob:
Perhaps Blinky should read the thread.
(PS2 - don't be lazy!)
I think he means is it DVD or CD.
It's on DVD.
He was hidden... ;)Quote:

I can't believe they put six full missions on this demo, and that they allow you to save your game, quite impressive.
does anyone know if this demo and the demo on the new jampack are the same?
It's pretty awesome, and I've never played a Front Mission. Might even have to buy this when it comes out.
Not that I would know or anything.Quote:

This thing just arrived, which is strange since I didn't register or whatever.
Oh, and my brother up and stole the PS2 and took it with him.
It's like getting no effort pussy and then finding out someone ran off with all your condoms and you don't have funds to buy more.
I got served. :(
First off, damn you.Quote:

People who don't want their penis to eventually fall off nor want to spawn a wallet leaching entity.
That's who uses jimmyhats.
Only four real missions. One is a training run, and another is cinema-only.Quote:

So the FM4 thread is now about STDs and penises.
Where have you been?
Giant things called Wanzers that are more powerful than anything else shoot other things and break them down.
It can't be more clear than that. This game is all about peni and STD's.
This game looks pretty shitty, man.
Great Square movies aside, that training mission was turbo bland.

they sure tore it a new asshole with a 6.8. i agree with matt and everything ign said in their review. the demo had one helluva intro but after that i couldnt get past the shitty graphics and simplistic nature of it. games thathave come out years before have more strategy and planning. ill go back to FM3.
I don't agree with that review.
i got my demo in the official playstation mag.
Don't think so...at least the one in the PS magazine is much shorter than the one shipped from Square.Quote:

But come on, this game should be HD...but I know what everyone is gonna say, most people don't do HD these days, blah, blah, blah...whatever...
2,000+ words and yet he couldn't tell me whether the game was better than FM3.
What a waste of time.
"Front Mission is a wad of problems wrapped in a package we all desperately want to love. Front Mission 3 was a PSOne title we could legitimately hold dear to our hearts despite its flaws -- flaws primarily attributed to limited PSOne technology. Front Mission 4, with no such platform deficient luxury, is simply flawed on its own. "Quote:
