Does anyone know how to prevent every search you've ever made in your entire life from popping up when doing a search at a search engine?
Edit: I forgot there was a comp issues thread. Sorry 'bout that.

So you're sick of having your mom or girlfriend search for "mountain" and having them see "munchkin lesbian sex" after they type the m, huh?
I'm pretty sure you delete all of your cookies, that can be done from the options thing under tools.
Well, I think thats a cookie issue. Erase all of your cookies and see if it all still pops up. Then, enter a vague search term, something about games for example, and click on No do not remember my search stuff.
Basically. I deserve a private life too.Quote:

good, now how do you clean out your address bar?
Tools menu > Internet Options > General > "Clear History" Button - to clear the Address Bar.
OmniGear, you probably don't want to clear cookies if it's just that. You'll have to relogin everywhere you've used a "save my login" type feature like here. What station82o said regarding the AutoComplete button is enough (Assuming this is all for IE).
Here's my method: Use an alternate browser like Mozilla.
Non-geeks will be worried and afraid of the strange browser and will use IE instead. Happiness for all.
Yes and remove all tabs so they have no clue as to how to use it.
