My post got partially deleted. I was gonna say that the position used to be honorable, but thanks to how the last few presidents were side-stepping our amendments by allowing corporate fundamentalists sink their hooks into congress, the position is already tainted. I'd much rather have a 3-4 man lead for multiple parties heading this country rather then one person that'll gradually fuck it up.

It all means capital control for corporate interests over the safety of american civilians.

corporate > government = communism

The President is in a different branch than the Congress.

Congress let corporations influence Congress. You can look at who donates large sums of money to specific congresspeople and look at their voting record to see this. It's all public information.

Likewise, the President lets corporations influence the President.

Did you not learn about the difference between the Executive and Legislative Branches in school?

Bush signs the laws, but members of Congress write them and vote for them. In regards to copyright laws, guys like Fritz Hollins (who is Democratic) and Orrin Hatch (Rep.) are the ones you should be mad at, not GWB. And the DMCA passed 99-0-1 in the Senate, and was signed by Clinton. And its not like GWB is filling out the paperwork in the RIAA lawsuits.

Here's an exercise: who do you think is the primary force behind the FTC's new push for indecency regulations?

Corporate, private interests. Private. They are enacting laws which make it easier for private companies to protect their copyright. They've been crossing the line on our fair use rights, but it's not communism.

Im no political theorist, so if Im wrong someone else can correct me, but communism would be more akin to saying that all of this stuff doesnt belong to the private companies but to the state.

George W. Bush is a lot of things, but a communist isn't one of them.

As far as I know it's just PR. He probably blabbed about the sacrifice those who died on 9/11 and all that, then went and got dinner at a $2000 a plate affair. Yes, $2000 a plate.

Actually, my girlfriend's brother (who is the White House corespondent for the Washington Post and has to follow Bush everywhere) is there in Eisenhower park as well. He actually rode in Bush's mile-long motorcade (seriously, it was, like, 40 mototcycle cops, several limos, and about 20 SUVs).

You know, if you tiptoe up to the roof real quiet-like you could probably still snag a rocket launcher. The secret it so knock on a wall then circle around while they're distracted. If it works in Metal Gear then it'll work just fine in real life.

For an added bonus, try shooting the ! above their heads when you alert them.
