I like rezo's style more than any of the winners. If he and Dolemite could team up... somehow... someway... from someone (who's typically a big meany) who gave a suggestion, it would be awesome.
Unless Dole thinks he can out-art those farts.

I like Rezo's normal style but I didn't like his art in his Rising Stars entry, it was like he was trying too hard and trying to add way too much detail. It turned his normal simple, unique style into something that looked like a young kid trying his hardest to draw comics.Quote:

Yeah, I don't draw well enough to pull that style off yet. Though the style of my webcomic isn't my regular style. I never drew like that before starting the comic, actually =\ I try to avoid having a fixed style and so for some things I choose one that I can't pull off as well as I'd like. I drew a 15 page short story(just keep changing the page number of the gif. More story than a comic) as a guest comic for someone in 3 days time and I liked how that came out more than the rising stars entry.Quote:

I probably won't be entering this thing in the future though. It was cool to try, but once is enough for me. I'd rather not focus on just one contest continually. After my webcomic finishes I'll make sure the next project is good enough for print and see what I can do with that =|
Oh, sorry. That plus whatever that online doodle program posted a while back was all I've seen of your art and they were all done similar so I just assumed. I'm not sure what it is, but something about the style of Ribald Youth is very charming to me.Quote:

You'll be buying RSOM5, then. ;)Quote:

I can easily compete, given enough time to work. My art for my last entry sucked because it was an insane rush-job. In hindsight I should have skipped RSOM3 and just concentrated on 4. But I guess I had to prove to myself that I wasn't a slacker in this respect. But man, did the art suffer because of it.Quote:

Oh, and I got your PM, and your persistence has worn me down...I'm going to give some serious thought about scanning and posting my damn RSOM3 story when I get to work Tuesday. :)
Don't make me send you another one...
Outside voice from passer-by the window giving his 2 cents: He'll do it, he's crazy!
Tokyopop just announced the details of RSOM 5...there's some changes.

Fuck, the deadline is Feb. 15th...that's a whole month sooner than I thought it would be (last year it was March 15th)! I really better get my ass in gear!
The people's choice award sounds interesting.

Just so you jerks know, voting's up 'til the end of the week.
I was looking at that today. Some of the stuff is pretty good.
Never finished my entry. Guess I'll submit it for the next one. With all this extra time, I have no excuse not to turn in a good submission.
...which makes me glad they didn't disable right-clicking. :X
