I don't know about this contest. If they post the top 20 entries online, won't that reduce interest in actually buying the book when it's released in August?

Yeah, it is kinda dumb. Maybe if they only posted a few that they didn't pick.
Regardless, it works out for me 'cause I'm fucking poor.
I voted for "Can I Sit Here?". Very well done. The art's superb, great expressions, occasional humor. It all fit together nicely.
I also really liked Baggage, the Big Bad, Forget Me Not,Magical Raft 1013, Mail Order Ninja, Modus Vivendi (that ending! HAH!), and the Seed.
...oh, and Haven. *sniff*
Blue Phoenix and My Angel, My Devil were shitty though. 'Specially the last one. Awful, awful, awful.
...but, what the hell's with Muse? Good Lord, that's disturbing!
An addendum to my thoughts on Haven: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!! *sniff sniff* THAT POOR GIRL! *SOB*
I usually don't give a shit about these things, but I just read "Can I Sit Here" randomly, and that was one of the best things I've seen ever.
If that person does not win, the competition is fixed.
Actually, with online voting for the "People's Choice Award", it could easily be fixed.
shit, you're right. I hate you, internet ;_;
I concur.Quote:

I scrolled through about six or seven and the only one that grabbed me was Baggage.
Whoever wrote and drew baggage has poor layout skills. I didn't read the whole thing, but I felt as though it was a chore to follow.
Also, The Big Bad is a great name for a comic, however, it is a rip off of Whedon's work (Buffy, Angel) and if you're going to do it you'd better do it justice. This person didn't do it justice.
I don't see how the Big Bad was like Buffy.
I thought it didn't have the best art around and that the story was really fucking dumb.
The title of the story: "The Big Bad" is Spikes nickname in the series. To the best of my knowledge nobody had done it beforehand, and now it's used a lot.Quote:

Waste of a good title.
