Good for China. Good for everyone, really. Well, except for manufacturing workers.
This looks good and it may very well be but China is still basically run by a dictator, and who's going to complain about their rights being violated when the Chinese MSS makes them disappear without a trace? I think what's going on in China highly depends on who takes over as the next General Secretary but I'd say they're moving in the right direction.

Workers developing freedoms (like property rights) is going to make them interested in owning property, which will make them demand higher wages and better education, which will make them more productive, which will make China a better country and put the lie to all of the dumbass protectionists currently bitching about the yellow menace that is stealing all of your jobs.Quote:

This is a FIRST step, chief. It's a slow process. But China is undoubtedly making the change, as they should, as they need to do. The days of Mao and the Cultural Revolution are long gone, thank God for that.Quote:
