Britneys Dance Beat PS2 - FIRST IMPRESSIONS!!!

Well, I just completed BDB with the first character (Elisa) and I am pleasantly impressed.

It's developed by Metro, makers of the Bust a Groove/Move series, and while it doesn't have quite the same interface as BAG/M it's close. It's not quite as deep (you cant decide when to attack, you just automatically attack after every ten hit combo) the different characters all have unique attacks, and it has an option to use the DDR Dance Pad!!

It only has 5 songs though, so this might get old fast, and I have yet to try it 2 player, but I'll give you more information soon...

So.......Im taking it you bought BDB? Well whatever floats your boat, but as for me personally, I will be staying away from any game related to a pop-star.......although Moonwalker was good so maybe there is hope. For a music game you would think it'd have more than five songs, but if its drawing its music soley from Britney's library than I can see why there are so few songs :lol:

Only 5 songs!? Please tell me this isn't a full price game. $10 Maybe?

This could be the best damn game ever made but you know what? I will NEVER buy it because......it's F*CKIN' BRITNEY SPEARS! If this game does well then expect a flood of games using pop stars/boy bands. I personally don't want to see this kind of thing infiltrating my hobby and Britney sure as hell doesn't need my money.

Using the DDR pad with this game is NOT a good idea.

It's hard to explain this, but if you play a lot of DDR you'll know what I mean. The steps just dont flow together right, it's not like they ever move the steps into any sort of natural pattern. It was cool that they made a "Dance Pad" control mode, but really, it's not very natural feeling. Stick to the Dual Shock.
