This is all the reason why people should get the vote on what laws go into effect over what congress says. If we're paying for it, we should have the right to make the call.Quote:

That's a very idiotic thing to say. The US is NOTHING like the Sharia Muslim countries, and it never will be. The public outcry over the Patriot Act is proof of this... and even if the Patriot Act were to last forever it still would not even put the country anywhere near them there "muslum" countries.Quote:
Voltz: Actually you were right to bring up the Bush connection - nobody would have the gall to pull this kind of stunt if he wasn't in office. Since Bush took office, congress has pushed harder to achive the GOP agenda of a more backwards less tolerant nation that could easily rival what they envision Muslums to be.
Just because one ass-backwards hick county (out of 95) in The Boondock State decides they want to set gay people on fire doesn't mean the whole country is gonna step in line.
I know that Bush isn't the most popular of Presidents, but blaming him for everything going on (like so many people love doing nowadays) is annoying and irresponsible at best and downright stupid at worst.
After all, hey... TN is Al Gore's home state.
And he lost Tennesse too.
You have far too much faith in the general public. You might as well shelf government and laws altogether, and live out a Mad Max scenario. I'm sure manufacturers of leather chaps would welcome that kind of world, but not me, no sir.Quote:

Because this particular sin is "icky". Oh, and people are idiots. What's not to understand?Quote:

An even better question would be - aren't there more serious matters to be concerned about?Quote:

Yes yes..He does forgive all sin...however, that doesn't mean we're free to do whatever we want...God is a friend (a father, King and also God), would you go around backstabbing your friends just because they'd always be there for forgive you? no you do your best to be a good friend(son, follower...etc).Quote:
