Not in your own words, written with bullets and subheaders to help me along?Quote:

If FFXI, Everquest 2, and SWG are getting away with $15, I can't imagine WoW charging less.Quote:

That's actually a good idea. PVP is available to those who wish it to be, but those who don't can ignore all the hoopla and put up with not having an NPC around for 5 minutes. That means it's off to Stormwind or the Dwarven city for me! I just have to make it to Racket and hitch a ride on the boat without being killed by horrific creatures.
They also said there that the PVP situation is completely temporary right now, and they have plans for improving it once other priorities are addressed.Quote:

BOTH.
Actually, I'm disappointed and think I'll probably stop playing this game. I don't care about PVP and I travelled so many miles and got as close as Dark Watch to Stormwind where all the guards consider me hostile. I just want to explore the land, I don't give two shits about PVPing. Exploring the land, to me, doesn't involve spending countless hours with one character only to be told I have to create another to experience the whole game. That may be how they want things to work, but I don't have to like it.
Second, I always right click to talk to an NPC. So naturally I did so in this land, and apparently it makes you attack them, and once you do you're automatically called hostile, and I don't see anyway of going back to none-hostile so you're basically stuck.
It's a fun game but it's not for me if I can only explore half of it.
Um. You're barred from the opposing sides cities, and only so long as you have no means of stealth. That's not even remotely close to 'half the game', unless you're talking about opposing side quests, in which case I have no answer for you but 'wtf mate'
World of Warcraft.Quote:

For bias purposes, how much of a Star Wars whore are you? I'm a Blizzard freak so I'd give WoW a higher score (that and I've never played any other MMORPGs).
Not at all. I didnt see the original trilogy in its completion until I was 17, and I own no more than 2 or 3 of the games (X-Wing Alliance is a hoot). I have the SE trilogy on VHS and Phantom Menace on DVD, and thats about it for SW merchandise.Quote:

Bummer.
Just so you guys know, they are accepting people again in to the new phase. Check your Emails. For some odd reason I got accepted again. Maybe its a friend account, who knows. Maybe I'm just lucky.
You got accepted twice? wtf. So far no email.
Yeah, because I've really gotten the urge to collect fifteen fish nipples lately.
Mainly WoW should just serve as a reminder as to why we should all buy Guild Wars.
Speaking of betas and Guild Wars:Quote:

Unfortunately, the 7pm time kills any possiblity for me, but if you can get 12 people together, it's possible to be able to play before its buyable.
Apparently my account is still active despite the fact that it was supposed to be deactivated 2 weeks ago.
Can you access the servers and play though?
I haven't been following up on GW, but the stuff they let us do during E3 bored the hell out of me.Quote:

"When it's done" has just happened. Blizzard has announced that WoW is done and is going on sale November 23rd.

I got tired of seeing people posting crappy low res converted screenshots with the interface and their ugly character obscuring the game, so I took all of my screenshots over the last ~6 months of closed beta gaming, picked out my favorites, and put them online with comments.
You can click through for a full screen view, there's 13 pages and over 100 screenshots there in total, all high quality.
Some of my favorites

I explored pretty much the entire game from 1-60, Horde and Alliance. Until you've done the instanced dungeons with a good group, you don't know how cool the game is... Hundreds of hours later and I still love it. Now thanks to the stress test and open beta, I can finally play with my friends. Woot.
