It's got a steep learning curve, it sucks playing with random idiots on Live, and it's going to take you more than the 29 days between now and Halo 2 to be competitive with this group. But if you have the time, it's a great multiplayer game, I've been playing since March. two or three nights a week, and I'm still not sick of it.

Definitely!

Like Dave says, the learning curve is very steep, but SC:PT is the best, most unique console multiplayer game ever made. I've been playing off and on for a couple weeks and am just now reaching the barest level of competency (bless Dave, Joe and co. for their patience). But damned if it isn't the coolest game I've ever played online.

The key is to spend a lot of time offline visiting the multiplayer maps, learning every ND133, hidden crawlspace, entry point, escape route, etc. SC:PT isn't a good "pick up and play" sort of game.

If you get the game, you can always play a few games with me on your team and your lack of skill won't be quite so embarrassing!

Maybe buying this game will make up for the total fun-vacuums that were Black Arrow and Battlefront.

Do I dare try another of the Dave-suggested titles??
