I was exxagerating a bit but what really makes it worth it to continue to hold on to an oil driven economy when it ultimately will fail, and likely very soon? I understand striving for survival but striving to continue your depedance on something that is soon to be gone doesn't sound like the greatest plan to me.

Maybe those Mars explorers have a bigger meaning?


I heard on the radio the other day, that a US intelligence document made it onto the web. The document talked about global warming, causing the world's water levels to rise and the United States plans to deal with this. Countries would sink under the rising water levels, which would result in wars for land with surrounding territories.

Back in the 80's, they were talking about land collapsing, because we had extracted too much oil from the ground below. That has'nt exactly happened yet, now has it. ;)
