Awesome episode. Could it get any better for a FG-hater like me? When they have Osama bin Laden talking shit about the show? The "retaliation" movie was brilliant. I really hope the DVD version is uncensored (but probably not).

It's not up here yet, but I've heard about it. I saw a brief clip where they parodied FG on the internet. Saw FG last Sunday and realized they were way right. Kinda sad, really.Quote:

I thought it was awesome too. I like Family Guy but the parody was spot on. I wonder if the "censoring" was actually done by Comedy Central or if it was written into the episode. I thought it was ironic that they couldn't show Muhammad handing Peter a football helmet, but they could show Jesus shitting all over the American Flag. The manatees with the idea ball tank was clever. South Park keeps getting better and better.Quote:

Meh, it makes me laugh. It's no Futurama or South Park but I can tolerate it. The older seasons are funnier than this new season.Quote:

Horray YouTube!
Family Guy is anti-humor. Always has been IMO.
Aside from Diffx you assholes are frontin' like mad. You all sucked Family Guy's dick so hard your faces imploded.
OH SHITS
Here's a thread where Andrew defends Family Guy's funniness while saying I have a poor sense of humor: http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/s...ght=family+guyQuote:

Reading these threads makes me embarrassed to post here, just a little.
But I guess all forums are like this (thats why FG is still around).
But is it cool now to hate Family Guy?
And here's another thread where everyone defended Family Guy and acted like I was a total asshole for not liking it.
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/s...ght=family+guy
And this all goes directly toward the point I was making in the Dave Chappelle thread.
All that thread really proves is that you're essentially a poor man's Sl1p.Quote:

The first 4 seasons of South Park were golden, then they sucked for a bit, then something magic happened around Season 8 and they got back on track.
As for Futurama, I don't think I hate a cartoon more than them, well maybe simpsons nowadays.
Hated it from day one for all the reasons South Park cited. About a month ago I proved my point by making up an episode on the spot throwing random pop culture references together. My friends thought it was great while I thought it was the saddest thing ever.
Anyway, FG is great for filtering people. I hope it lasts forever.
I still like Family Guy and all, I find it entertaining. But better then Futurama? WTF people?!?!? Seriously.Quote:

I used to think this exact same thing then I went back and watched all of the episodes and realized that the first four seasons aren't all that great (still very funny), but season 5 is when it kicked up it's humor and Season 7 is when it got as uproariously funny as it is today. Regardless, I still love the entire series.Quote:

I don't really understand why South Park isn't as popular as Family Guy, it's smarter and funnier-but whenever I talk to anyone about it they just talk about how gross it is. I swear to God, I can't stand people.
But last night episode. Amazing. Even though the show is starting to get a little too didactic, but it seems that they realize it with them jabbing at themselves for it. They need to lay off the episodes with a message for a week or two then kick it back in.

Because that got overdone like Chappelle's gags. Remember in the late 90s when everyone had the "Respect my Authoritay!" Cartman T-Shirts? Or when people would yell "You killed Kenny!" regardless of the context? Or the shitty South Park games? That thing was viewed as being a novelty and thus run into the ground. There are people out there (myself included up until a few years ago) that didn't even know it was still on the air.Quote:

Honest.
I remember selling bootleg tapes of South Park to younger kids back during season 1. Good times. :D
I like how SP spent 2 shows bagging on FG but never gave one good reason.

I never at any point said I hated Family Guy. In fact, I said I liked it. When I wrote that other post, I did, indeed think the new season was the funniest, but it has seen a decline in the latter half. It might be because I recently rewatched my older boxsets and have had a chance to compare. I have noticed a lot of Family Guy backlash as of late, as with all things that are very popular. I pretty much like it the same as I did before but it has always been lower down on my list of cartoons. I would rate them:Quote:

I also liked South Park ripping on itself with that guy in the truck saying "I love Family Guy. At least it doesn't get all preachy up its own ass."
The whole story is that Comedy Central didn't allow South Park to do a gag on Mohammed and that Danish newspaper that mocked him or whatever, so Matt and Trey made up this whole analogy to Family Guy doing it just because they hate Family Guy and wanted to rip on it anyway. The censorship last night wasn't real, it was just Matt and Trey commenting on how it's ridiculous that they have to censor Mohammed doing something totally normal, but in the next scene they can show Jesus shitting all over President Bush or something and no one cares (which was brilliant imo, though it probably went over a lot of people's heads and they just thought it was South Park being wacky). They're pretty pissed at Comedy Central.
Since Family Guy has returned to air, it really has been one of the worst shows on television. Entire late-night group gatherings at various houses I've attended have been awkwardly silent and quickly dissolved when someone replays a newer Family Guy on their TIVO. It's just so fucking unfunny now. I like seasons 2 and 3 okay, though.
I'm not going to hate on family guy because it does provide me a few random stupid jokes while I'm doing math and other mind numbing crap I can't get out of.
BUT, and I've think I've said this before, it is the most useless comedy adult cartoon out there. It is pretty much a 30 minute long jumble of old pop culture jokes. Any generation after us will probably find FG 0 funny. They won't get the jokes. They will have no idea why Optimus prime being a jew is funny. At best they will find it funny because Optimus prime is a truck and not a robot monkey ass or whatever the japs have made him into in 2030.
As others have said SP is a bit preachy these days so it is in danger of screwing itself in much the same way. It will be anamainacs all over again.
However Futuroma will be always funny for those who dig it's kind of jokes. It creates a world and makes it's jokes within that world. As long as people have anything that approaches intelligence, future generations can enjoy it.
Okay Jackass now tell me why the fuck Family Guy shouldn't be watched. They tried to attack Family Guy in so many different fucking ways but they never gave one fucking reason why someone shouldn't watch it.Quote:

Cartman rant might have meant something if for close to a decade SP hadn't been preaching tolerance. In the end it's a rant. An elitist rant.So what if family guy is written by manatees. Who the fuck cares! Cartamans bitching sounded like nothing but elitist shit that if any other person said about something popular they would be called bitter.
Or maybe it just hasn't occured to Matt and Trey that FG is an extremely different show and that they are really pissed at thier own fans who decided to enjoy something else and stupidly compare apples and oranges.
Or chances are SP fans, who usaully pride themselves on "getting" SP are so blinded by this whole "lets attack FG" bullshit that no one has blatantly realized this is just another attack on Scienetology.
Because it sucks ass and isn't funny. It relies on the same worthless gag over and over again and fails as a comedy on every single level. It has bad characters in trite situations cracking shitty jokes.Quote:

Photoshopped?
Good job, you just helped the terrorists win
Defintley photoshopped that Mohamad is the one from the "Super Best Friends" episode. And that's another thing if Comedy Central refused to show Mohamad did they nto realized that they already showed him before...creating fire and help make a giant John Wikles Boothe
I don't remember a single person complaining when they first aired that. Were all muslims blind that day or something.Quote:

One of my favorite moments from the episode (paraphrasing here):
Reporter: Mr. President, why can't you reason with the Family Guy writing staff?
Bush: I'm sorry, but that information is . . . classified.
Reporters in Unison: AWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!
This show has definitely been good lately, but it definitely is up and down in quality. The last batch of episodes before this sucked ass (minus the Paris Hilton one). It's a shame it's so inconsistant because when it's good, it's GOOD.
Yeah the reporters bitching about Bush's First Amendment was priceless.Quote:

Wrong. Douche and Turd, The Walmart episode, Pre-school, Paris Hilton, the episode where Cartman is psychic and the fucking Woodland Critter Christmas are all after the Michael Jackson episode (which isn't very good) and they're all pretty great. The only not that great episode in that run is the one where they have a news show, and even that episode has it's merits.
And season 9 was pretty good too, with only having like 3 crappy episodes (The Jimmy episode was horrible, the talent agency ep isn't good, and the whale episode looked crappy even though I haven't seen it.
Yeah, you're wrong the show hasn't jumped the shark yet.
The Jimmy episode? You mean the one where he takes roids? That episode is a fucking classic.

I really like the episodes where they don't address current events and do a show based soley on the South Park characters. And Cartman centric episodes have the most comedic potential, last nights Dog Whisperer fucking delivered. I almost died laughing where they are walking down the street and Cartman completely loses his mind and tries to make a break for it. The god damn neck pinching and the animation they did when he gets put on his back had me in tears.
The ending was brilliant too.
I agree, that was by far the best episode of this run and I'm glad to see that they still have the ability to churn out such a funny episode. Actually, I thought Manbearpig was pretty good too. Overall, it was a pretty good run, brought down by one really terrible episode.

Yeah, I was just calling it product placement just because. They'll put in a PS3 when it comes out.
