I think it's gonna be pretty awesome. Tom Hanks really shines in comedies so heres hoping.

i think it looks absolutely horrible.
I would seriously kill myself before going to see this movie.
Tom Hanks is a moron.
I'm gonna check it out later this week. My parents saw it on opening night, they liked it but they said I'd love it.
"Waffles! We must all have waffles forthwith!"
I'm excited about this flick, and might actually see it in theatres.
I have to see it because it;s the coens but I've been hearing very mixed things depending on who you ask. Some love it, some say it's garbage.
Yeah. The movie looks average based on the trailer. But it is Coens, so I cannot judge by reviews because a lot of their movies get bad reviews but I still love them.
Why is Tom Hanks a moron? Sounds like adolescence speak coming forth. He is just an actor who acts. Is that a moronic thing to do?
Anyways, I saw the movie and it was really funny. Kinda goofy at the end but it was funny. Solid B.
Worth the time. I liked it, Hanks was awesome and Marlan(sp?) Wayans was really funny which surprised me. All the characters mixed well, I thought. Solid stuff. Go see it.
Are they being smart asses? Because that's a very choice phrase that goes with the film. It was funny and I enjoyed my sitting.Quote:

I loved it. If you've seen The Hudsucker Proxy and O Brother Where Art Thou? you'll know what to expect. It's really funny, and if you like the Coen Bros., you'll like this.
When I saw it, about 6 old people walked out on it because Marlon Wayans has some pretty vulgar lines. Old people are funny.
I wound up seeing it last night, I was going to finally see Eternal Sunshine, but I didn't get there in time. :( Though I did want to see Ladykillers quite a bit as well (if only for Hanks and the Coens, the previews did nothing for me either), so it wasn't a total loss. And after seeing it, I must say, I was very pleased. I don't understand people who can't appreciate Tom Hanks, he's fucking incredible imo, I think I've loved everything he's starred in since Saving Private Ryan, and plenty prior at that. Though I must say, I thought Marlon Wayans hurt the movie a lot more than he added to it. I mean, he was given the easiest, most blatant lines you could possibly get in a comedy, and he still couldn't pull it off. Other than that, I thought it was a very good movie. Excellent direction, great production, pretty much everyone was a great character, it was just a very enjoyable movie.
Yes. This movie could be offensive and isn't recommended to little children.

His best movie and it even features a coke-snorting mule!
That and a chick that pees standing up. :D
Beyond funny!Quote:

Just feels like they pussed out on turning up the dark humor, and it felt like the movie tried to appease every target audience it could. The General cracked me up and Hanks is worth seeing this for alone, but I still come away disappointed with The Ladykillers.
My friend saw it, and described some of the weirder parts, especially the demise of the characters at the end, leading to the same place. Now I am waiting for dvd to come out to watch those scenes.
He did said that it wasnt Coens best, but it wasnt a bad movie.
