You meant PS1. The PS2 game is Save the Homeland. Back to Nature rocks. But like I said, Friends of Mineral Town is a suped up version of it, meaning it's got everything from BTN plus new stuff that adds to the enjoyment. It's probably the best in the series because of this. I haven't played FOMT, but Back To Nature is my favorite and I'm wanting to get FOMT because of it.

But my son just started Wonderful Life and I'm participating there and like the game a LOT, and I'm about to start a file on HM 64. I can't see replaying BTN in FOMT form when I've got other HM stuff going on. The game is too time consuming for that.

This was already announced. It is on their site IIRC.

She is working her way through the GC one right now so she cannot rank it right now, but so far it is looking like #1 or #2.

Two points:

1) FOTM has been discontinued from what the EB employee told me in the computer, so if you want it, you better hurry and get it. Took me quite awhile to track down my copy, but I've also heard Natsume is going to produce more copies since it's compatiable with the GC version.

2) Track down FOTM because it has connectivity with the GC version, giving you more music and other good stuff :)

Thanks for the heads up. Guess I'll see if EB still has copies. They've had copies every time I've been in there, I just haven't bought yet. Best Buy, on the other hand, has NEVER had copies! What's up with that?

I've only played the N64, SNES, GB (original gameboy), and the PS2 version. I didn't really like the PS2 one too much but the N64 and SNES ones were great. The GB version was just endless repitition. I probably had the most fun with the SNES one but the N64 is virtually the same with a few additions. I'd probably go with the N64 version.

I have the 3rd Gameboy Color one, the Ps1, N64, and PS2 version.
Out of those, I liked the PS1 version the best.
I didn't play much of the N64 version because as you walked around, the fields would pop up in front of you. I found that very annoying.

Save the Homeland (PS2), that's what I meant. There's 50 million Harvest Moon games, I can't fucking keep track of them all.

I'd rank them as Harvest Moon: Mineral Town (GBA) #1 for traditional Harvest Moon, with Harvest Moon: Wonderful Life (Gamecube) being so different in presentation that it's hard to rank. I really really like it, but I'm not sure the reward to effort ration is right. Money in the game is just really hard to earn when compared to the other games in the series.

There are festivals in the Gamecube version- I've seen a Harvest Gathering, the Starlight Festival, and a New Year's Festival so far. I'm sure I've missed a few too just by not being in the right place when it happens.

Ok, Back to Nature is pwning me seriously.

It's mid fall and my farm is 25% complete. I have 2 cows (one is pregnant), a sheep, 10 chickens, and the pony. My chicken coop and house have been extended and I should have the barn done before winter sets in. I have upgraded all my items to the bronze level (save for the axe, which is silver), I have the 8-slot rucksack, as well as the crop bin. I'm trying now to get utensils for cooking, as Ann from the inn is pretty interested in me (blue heart!). I keep giving her spa-baked eggs every morning.

All I need to do is get 500 lumber for the barn extension and I'll be set for winter. No crops means milk and wool will be my only sources of income. I guess I'll have to buy another sheep and use the potion on the 1st one once it's full grown.

My wife likes the game but finds it a bit complicated after Animal Crossing. I told her that once the fairies start helping, the game's a breeze. Flowers seem to keep them happy but I'm in a bind for winter. What should I give them?
