Cheer up, Yankee fans!
The Yanks scored more runs, hit for a better average, posted a better ERA and threw more strikeouts than the Sox this series.
That'll get you some bragging rights!
My Grandfather died a couple months ago. He was born a Red Sox fan and died a Red Sox fan hoping he'd get to see something like this before he died. (He was born in the 1920s)Quote:

Man, I hope you are proud of yourself. For winning so many fucking championships, Yankees fans are some pretty fucking sore losers.
That is pretty fucked up Cow.
I mean, I don't care for Liverpool fans, but I still get emotional over the Hillsborough Disaster.
Just to clarify:Quote:

Devil Rays fans now look at you and laugh.
You're a cunt.Quote:

Rich is actually right about this. Just like the Yankees were one of 29 loser franchises last year and this, the Red Sox will join them if they are defeated by the Cardinals. Yes, I said Cardinals.Quote:

I don't actually sit around imagining all the dead bosox fans.
Sorry, Master.
I still don't see how the Red Sox are the "Good Guys" though. It's not like some scrappy thrown-together team with no payroll and no hope. Second-highest paid team in the league. (And I don't really care that much about payroll, but you can't deny that star power makes a huge difference in both basketball and baseball) You've just lost a lot, so you're underdogs.
I guess no one likes a team that always wins. Hell, in every other sport, once my team is gone I am there by the underdog. I almost feel cheated that I can't feel good about this awesome series. It's too humiliating. I've been a Yankee fan all my life, and I don't feel jaded on winning. Every year we lose the World Series is a huge disappointment, and I don't see anything wrong with wanting to win and winning every year. The payroll deal makes me feel a little abashed every now and then, but I'm not some frontrunner, or some guy who grew up in LA and fell in love with the history of the Yankees and went bozo. I was born into this and I took being a fan seriously, and even if someday they start a losing streak like Boston I'll be there wearing the pinstripes.
The bitterness has subsided a little, so I can say this with sincerity: Good luck in the World Series. I can't imagine the Devils losing for my entire lifetime, my life would feel like an utter waste. So good luck and I hope you guys win.
I'll still be pissed if Derek Lowe's autobiography comes out in under 10 months though. That'd just a testament to our awesome fucking society. I also can't wait to see "Martha Stewart's Prison Memoirs, Mothering the Socially Challenged," hit bookshelves.
My first time being called a cunt in 20 years of living.Quote:
