And I hope to god the Yanks don't acquire Beltran. That will only add to the problem.

They were talking on the radio about it during lunch. Exactly what we were saying - how the team has no soul left, just overpriced superstars that aren't making a team.
Apparently a few Yankees congregated in the spa room, where the media weren't supposed to go, but the door was left open, and some reporter saw Jeter, Williams, and Rivera sitting there heartbroken, talking about it. About how the team is so different now, and not what the joined up with.
I don't think I'm being overly sore. Under 24 hours and I'm looking ahead to next season. And I never owned a "curse" sign, I think all that crap is bullshit.
When the game ended, I played Burnout 3 and Crimson skies. I didn't binge drink and piss on red sox fans.
If only Diff didn't have that nasty penchant for character assasinations for his own pleasure, he'd be an entirely okay guy. He's fiercely intelligent and opinionated and that's cool, but man sometimes...
You don't seem to have a lot of class with this statement. Stop the attacks, this goes for everyone in this topic. Another infraction will result in a ban.Quote:

They have had the golden platter handed to them and every break always goes their way. Remember Jeffrey Maier? Thats the type of shit Im talking about. That motherfucker was a celebrity for a good month and all he did was help the Yankees cheat their way to a victory.
I know Yankees fans because I was surrounded by them my whole life. This is the sweetest thing, the fact that they can finally shut the fuck up because they got destroyed and now are just a bunch of fools. Just look at how PBMax was whining about "since when does baseball have instant replay now?" Nevermind the fact that A-Fraud was fucking cheating, straight up.
Lakers fans are, really, exactly the same way.
Actually, Beltran would be a far better move than any the Yanks have made since Clemens.Quote:

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to the Red Sox fans.
You won one - yippee! We can't expect the Yanks to go the the series every year. Jus remember you still haven't won shit. There are four wins to go before you've accomplished anything.
And what a classy celebration last night. Throwing garbage cans through the Sovereign Bank sign was a nice touch, and the car flipping is always a good way to celebrate baseball. Of course the fires topped off the whole wonderful event.
A year or two back on this site I even said that a good 80% of Yankee fans are absolutely clueless re: baseball.I could only wish I lived in a place like BostonQuote:

Not on a team full of egos. We need to reorganize this team first, not bring in more people. Get rid of Arod, Sheffield, Brown and Giambim then bring in BeltranQuote:

Also, I wasn't whining about the call, as a matter of fact I said they were the right calls. I was simply stating that an umpire who watches the replay screen before making a call needs is breaking the rules of the sport he's officiating.
