Anyone finish Parappa the Rapper?

One of my favorite games, yet I too get dicked on the freestylin'.

I was stuck on the Chicken Stage FOREVER!! My favorite stage was the Frog stage-is it me or does he sound like Shaggy the rapper? The best stage to freestyle in is the Chop Chop Master Onion stage. I think the game frowns on you just pushing random buttons when you freestyle, I noticed I got the most points when the buttons I pressed had a rythem to them.

freestyle is simple.. you listen and mash whatever buttons to the beat.... you don't even have to look at the screen.

the frog guy always gives me a hard time in stage 5. *splat* :xx:

I usually memorize the pattern, close my eyes, and just listen for it. I love this game. I like Umjammer a bit better, but just cause the music is cooler. It's also way easier.
But anyway, good luck with the parappa finishing, it's a cute ending.

I love the driving stage, it was kind of a downer when my real life driving test wasn't that cool :(

Fucking awesome game, though I'd have to say I like Um Jammer Lammy a little more.

Indeed.

Parappa is actually easier after you finish the first time and unlock the "cool" difficulty. That way on parts that you're better on, you can get up to cool, then it's that much harder to lose (because you have another two levels to go down).

I've played Parappa so much, it's kinda scary actually. To this day I still have all the songs memorized, as well as a bunch of freestyles.

The cool thing about freestyling is on most of the stages, a specific word is associated with a button, so when you freestyle you can have Parappa say other stuff. :D
