I'm taking the ACT on Saturday morning, and the SAT in a month from today, so I was just wondering, how did you guys do on your standardized tests?
Though I haven't taken any yet, I DID get a 1270 on the PSAT. I'm expecting about a 30-31 on the ACT saturday.
if you're taking the SAT why do you have to take the ACT? I thought that was for foriegn people.
I racked up a 32 on my ACT's with no preparation and 3 hours of sleep. :)

yes, on so many levels. They only reflect a persons ability so much. The rest just reflects some ones ability to take test. Some of my freinds who did better than me are complete fucking nobs. The sort of of people who can go up to a stop sign, and forget they are at a stop sign with in seconds. My friends who made perfect on it are some of the most uncreative borring people on the planet.Quote:

I think one of the better "jokes" about it is that many of the questions are nichie things that any student who aplies him/herself will be long past by their junior or senor year. At that point the student is being tested on his memory of things he rarely usses.Quote:

Man, thats a great joke, the ACT is supose to test how much a kid has learnd and his ability to learn, yet Memory and Graph reading are not taught subjects in school.
Yeah. Other than synonyms/antonyms, proofreading, VERY basic reading comprehension, and plugging in the answers given to you in the math section...the SAT tests nothing. NO REAL intelligence, just the very basic step of knowledge.
Then again, I didn't ace the verbal, so maybe I can't talk.
750V, 710M - I don't know what the value of SAT scores is.
I know some people with perfect scores who never had the personality they needed to succeed.
