I actually think the SAT is one of the few tests that is an accurate measure of one's reasoning ability (which is the purpose of the test, I believe).
Of course not, but the test was never meant as a direct measure of one's ability to succeed in life, nor anything regarding personality.Quote:

Becuase there is a difference in the speed of thought, and the power(think torque) of thought. At a certain point you have to have trade offs between the two, due to the limitations of the human brain, or any physical matter.Quote:

I got about a 1070 when I took the SAT.
And just as a quick tip for anyone that can take advantage of it.
Make sure to take the PSAT your 11th grade year. If you do well on it then, it opens up some scholarships that you wouldn't be elegible for any other way.
When I took the SAT, I'd already been in college for two years (I was just about to transfer to an American school). I got perfect in verbal, and I don't remember my math score but it was up in the 99th percentile somewhere. I didn't study for it at all - just looked up some "sample questions" on the internet and they seemed easy enough.
In the end, I ended up going to a community college first so I didn't even have to write the thing in the first place.
This test is a joke. What kind of crackpot cooked up the thing anyways? I fail to see how it's supposed to test anyone's intelligence properly and I'm happy most countries don't bother with standardized tests.
becaue remembering that (a^2) + (b^2) = (c^2) and how to use grammar equates all intelligence, duh. God, no wonder America has all the smart people of the world.Quote:
