Would you have consensual sex with a minor, assuming you'd never get caught?

I agree with the whole 'age isn't a rule' thing. I mean, hell, I don't act like most 15 year old girls. I act a lot more mature than a fine share of 18-20 year olds do. So I'll base it on someone who acts the my level of mentality, and not judge by age. It seems more fair that way.

And to answer: If I happened to be in a situation with a guy several years older and making it illegal, I'd probably want to hold off. Sucks enough as it is, you know? And unless it involves a teacher kind of thing, older women seldom get in trouble for banging a guy that's a year or some under legal age.

Most girls who screw younger guys are ugly or school teachers.

That reminds me of how baised the court system is when it comes to women getting off the hook, but in the case it's an older man getting the guilty plea reguardless of the gf wanting it or not.

Most guys don't complain, and when a woman is caught having sex with an underaged guy you don't hear everyone going "Perv!" Combine that with genetics dealing with men being naturally attracted to younger women (even though there tends to be a lot of extremes) and women being naturally attracted to older men (or those percieved as such by either party) and there's a lower number of older women with younger guys in the first place.

If I worked in a different situation I might actually take a minute and think, but I work with a lot of good-looking females and 80% of them are minors (being as I'm 23 and thus they need to be 18 for my perusal purposes, yet at least 16 to legally work) that thought process was removed from my control years ago. But if RL intruded and I to deal with them afterwards with all the talking and listening to them complain about stupid crap like homework and curfews and their parents that I got sick of hearing when I was 14, let alone 16, then get me out of there PRONTO.

Its true. I think a lot of it has to do with both sexes though.

I think women are inherently looking for older guys and older guys are constantly screwed, or ignored by women their age, its really a retarded thing but I've definiately noticed it in my little group of friends.

I'd say with younger women just sex, is much more dangerous than a relationship, because if you are looking for just sex chances are your getting a 15 year old on the rebound from her first "relationship" and thats exactly what your gonna wind up with.

It has little to do with the system - it's less likely that a complaint would be brought against an older woman than an older male. It's also a fact that females are much more vulnerable in sexual situations.
