Not a fan of the costumes either, but like you said it's based on the Ultimates line I guess which I know nothing about. It seems when updating comic properties for the movies, leather is the big thing to have.
They cant be basing these characters on the Ultimates line. They wouldnt even be in their 20's yet, as that series follows Reed up from what 14, I think, to MAYBE 18 when the radiation hits the group. (I'm not digging for exact ages, but I know they are younger).Quote:

BTW JoBlo.com had this clip of Fantastic Four movie footage along with unfinished storyboards and animatics but their server got slammed and then Fox told them to take down the footage. It showed some really cool looking stuff, among the coolest is Dr. Doom(sans green cloak) but it's been revealed in the new Wizard that he will actually wear it in the movie.
I also compared him to some pics from the comics, the mask looks great:

Some observations, it does indeed look like the same mask as the leaked footage. LOVE how the cloak and green parts look. The green parts of the suit seem to have sleeves unlike the comic one so perhaps he will have black gloves to cover up his metal hands, or maybe just bare metal hands.
Weird how he has two belts but perhaps it's neccessary to hoist up all that cloth.
Anyway, it gets mad props from me, it looks as close to the comics as we're gonna get.
The pic's a fake. This shot was taken on the set...MUCH better, IMO.
