These Thing and Dr. Doom pics are of the studio, Edge Fx, that lost in a competition to see who could make the better special effects like suits and such.
If this is by the team that LOST I can't imagine how awesome the team that won did with it. BTW the winning team Spectral Motion did Hellboy's character work and CG.

It seems like the early part of Thing's transformation, cool that the shoes are huge though.
I'm liking things thus far, it should be a fun trainwreck. Is it just me, or is there no texture to the supposedly rocky face of the Thing?
I think there's a lumpy looking texture with some weird growth on the side from what I see.
Looks like I was right about the Thing early transformation look of those pics.

I'm digging it so far, the texture def has a rocky look and the hands and face look awesome. Nice job so far spectral motion.
Changing Doom's origin from the comic book is the most retarded thing the movie makers could have done. Dr. Doom is one of the greatest Marvel bad guys ever...he's supposed to be the leader of his own country, a brilliant scientist and powerful sorcerer, and he's supposed to be wearing FUCKING ARMOR, not metal skin! Retarded. Personally, I don't give a damn what changes they make to the FF themselves (was never a huge fan), just keep Doom true to his roots.

Heh, that isn't the first time I've seen Doom's comparison with Klytus. I think the toughest thing to do is his eyes. They have to be visible under the armor but still made to look badass and inhuman at the same time. Also the way he speaks would be odd in that armor from Edge, I suppse the jaw moves with some flexibility.
That EdgeFX mask looks awesome though. I could only imagine what the armor would have looked like.
