They didn't so much lie is simply buy into the same thing everyone else bought into.

Okay, a few things here - Metroid's password system was VERY odd. Random groupings of numbers and characters would get you a bunch of random results. A friend and I used to take an NES Advantage, set the B and Start buttons to turbo, and flail the joystick like mad. That would set about putting random characters in random slots, while the start button tried to start a game with that password. Most times, the password function would finally cancel out, but sometimes you'd hit passwords that would work.

We for a lot of passwords that put you in random places with random sets of items. However, we also found two things that could NEVER be gotten during the game - a weapon that looked exactly like the Ice Beam, but red, and it couldn't feeze, and an Ice Beam with projectiles that were twice the size of the normal beam's projectiles. Glitches, no doubt, but still fun.

Justin Bailey was just one of those things, I'd assume. It just happened to be a password that made up a name that just happened to put you in a certain place with certain stuff.

Lastely, Samus NEVER ran around in a sports bra and panties, thank you - it was a one-piece outfit, like a leotard or a sports outfit or something. (Unless my memory is really, really bad.)

Well, you succeeded in being a dick, yes, but that's okay.

As for the death animation, it seems you're unable to see something once and remember it. Other people have that amazing ability, believe it or not.

Woo hoo! The Space Network up here in Canada said Woo wants to focus on the backstory of Samus Aran. This is the best news for the movie I'd heard of yet. And they want it to spawn a franchise... which means this movie has a high chance of having blood, sweat and tears put in to it.
