Kill Bill Vol 2 Official Trailer.

I just came back from the movies and all the reviews are right, it is very different from the 1st one, but nonetheless, if you have 2 morcels of a brain, and you have enough integrity to watch the whole movie without complaining, you'll enjoy it. I think people expected this to be Bloodbath x 1'000'000 compared to Kill Bill Volume One, which honestly wouldn't work, having only Bill left on her list [ok budd too].

Movies good, but you'll either love it or hate it, depends who you root for in these kind of movies. Just go watch it, you'll have something to talk about at the office on Monday. ;)

I loved it. I thought the first had cooler action scenes and like has been said, there were less of those in Vol. 2.

Did anyone else notice this -

I could be wrong but it seems to me that there's a nod to Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four in the movie. Bill's place is numbered 101. In 1984, Room 101 is the torture/interrogation room and in the movie Bill interrogated her in the truth serum scene.

I thought the first movie was "ok". Didn't really like the fights much, and the story was kind of plain, but the easy going pace and off beat humor kept me into it. Plus, I enjoyed the fact that it seemed like the movie was being made just for fun. Like Tarantino was just screwing around, and I tend to like that in principle. If part 2 is much different, then I'll probably see it. I wasn't planning on doing so.

The animated scene seemed to be there to establish Ishii as a badass,and there were several other scenes to that same effect; Her kiddie bodyguard had one to.It didn't interrupt the flow of the film, and I even enjoyed the segue out of it in particular.Anyways, it's just something to define the character before they show up so that they aren't just arbitrary faceless nobodies to get cut-down. The woman that she fought in the beginning seemed to be there just to establish the mood of the film, and the sitcommy circumstances of the fight did an ok job of it, I think. It's not odd or incorrect for different characters to be handled in different manners.

I expected to like 2 more than 1, but I think I liked 1 more. I have all the time in the world for long movies, Seven Samurai and any of the LOTR movies I can take in one sitting. However, I did feel like alot of the scenes in 2 went on too long. I could watch 1, which I love, a few more times before I get bored of it, but I'm not too sure about 2. It felt like not much happened, but it took forever. I enjoyed it, and the final scenes were the most moving out of the movies, but I don't think anyone other than diehard fans will really enjoy it.

Well, I really liked Vol 2. I liked it more than Vol. 1, and I loved Vol. 1. It is a lot different from the first. There's a lot less action, but it's an amazing movie.

I don't agree with this. I think it was a very entertaining movie. If cool action is all someone was looking for though, I can see where they would be disappointed.

I wasn't, I expected the film to take it's time with the characters and whatnot. It's just that alot of it I felt wasn't terribly interesting. Certain scenes are so slowly paced, so long to get to the punchline that you feel like something amazing is going to happen...and it doesn't. It felt like a really good 1 hour and some change movie stuck inside a 2 hour one.

I sorta agree with this, but I love movies with badass dialogue and this movie is chock-full of it.

I never got bored or thought it carried out too long. I loved it, and I think in substance, it's a better movie that Vol. I.

I also think the music was superior to the first.

I have both soundtracks, and I dont agree that vol2 has a better selection. As I posted couple pages ago, it has couple good themes and songs, but overal it subpar to vol 1 selection. Maybe in the movie, it would work better, and I will judge that later today, but as stand alone, it just not as good.

Ok, Just came back from the theater.

What can I say. I loved Vol 1 and I loved Vol 2 :)

As it was said by many before, they are different halves of one whole. V1 concentrated on action and V2 spends time with the characters. You get to know B**** and Bill, and their tragic love/hate story. You also meet Budd, master Pai Mei and little **.

Not to say it lacked action, few scenes it had were very good. The trailer fight was extremely brutal and fun to watch, and a baddass conclusion to boot. And even Bride vs Bill confrontation was handled with cool results.

I am dissapointed tha Bill's swordfight against Michael Jai White got left on the cutting floor :( I was looking forward that. Oh well, I hope it will be on dvd.

As it stands, it still a must see movie, especially if you seem and liked vol 1.
