The only Skyline worth noting is the out of production GTR (the current Skyline in Japan is simply the G35 coupe, iirc), but there's no reason to have one in the US other than flashiness, due to their ultra-inflated prices. What are they at now, like $80-90k for an R34 GTR? I'm not denying that they are excellent, well balanced cars (of course, from reviews and such), but they seem to be ultra overrated by the crowd that grew up on Import Tuner and Gran Turismo.

I wouldn't even care about your tastes, except that you had to make the ignorant statement that "all Mustangs are CRAP". There are few cars that have more modding potential than the fox body stangs, nor are there many cars in the current Cobra's price range that offer as much performance for the buck.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no "buy American" fanatic. If I could have any cheapish project car, I'd probably choose a TurboII RX7, simply because I've always been intrigued by rotaries.

If I had to choose a nice daily driver, I'd probably choose a VW R32, because based upon reviews, they are extremely refined and decently quick. However, I think that they're a little too expensive for what one gets.

I love BMW's, but I can't really get accustomed to the direction that they are heading. The clunky I-Drive system as well as the new steering system supposedly further detach the driver from the road, making driving a much more automated experience. What once was "The Ultimate Driving Machine" seems to be more like "The Machine that Ultimately Drives You".

As far as performance cars go, I've always been a fan of the simpler bare-bones cars with a limited amount of ameneties. I applaud Mitsubishi for bringing out the Lancer Evo RS, which pretty much removes anything that doesn't make the car faster. Heck, I could survive driving a Miata, as they are quite mean on the autoX circuit, and that would be fun to get into.

ok. sim sorry not all mustangs are crap. but ware i live every one and i mean EVERY ONE has a 98 mustang gt. and that made me hate them. the new one s arnt that bad. but by the time they come out. my whole high school will have one. and they will still act like they are the only one with one.

and thats how it is in my whole town. not just my school. u cant go one day with out seeing atleast 50 mustangs a day. and thats why i hate them. and thats why i love imports cause no one has one. and dont go and say im a civic lover cause civics suck balls. and i would take a s15 silvia over a skyline any day.

I hate imports to. espicially ricers. Last time I went to Florida, you couldn't swing a dead cat with hout hitting a added on metal tail fin.

Yes, there are ricers abundant here in FL. Pretty much every Civic owner I know is like "yeah, I'm going to drop a B16A in it and turbo it." but of course, it never happens.

The Silvia's (basically 240's, right?) are quite nice. I'm more of a fan of the S14's styling, and I much prefer the coupe to the hatch. I know nothing about their performance, though. I just know that they're RWD, which is always a good thing.

All classic cars that have NOT been lowered, had hydrolics put on, huge ungodly rims put on, or other wise made to look like a urban human peace of shit drives/owns it.
