MGS:TS: Complete graphics overhaul, tougher AI, complete new set of moves, touched up and rerecorded script, new music, obviously not the original code in the slightest.
Metroid Zero Mission: Complete graphics overhaul, new music, new areas, altered existing areas, new versions of bosses, altered small things about the gameplay, obviously not the original code in the slightest.
Notice how all the remakes have all or some of totally new graphics, new gameplay, new music, and new areas, only keeping the underlying ideas, story, characters, and layout the same. Skies of Arcadia on GC had the same graphics, the same gameplay, the same music, the same areas, and merely added a couple touches here and there while still being obviously the original code in every way.
Note: By original code I'm referring to that in a general sense, I realize changes have to be made in order for it to run on other systems.
