What's your life story?

I saw a post like this on another MB and couldn't recall there ever being one like it here... apologies if untrue.

Anyway, we all pretty much relate to and are aware of each other's more... consumeristic ambitions, but how much do you really know about your fellow posters otherwise? Where are you now and what brought you there? Are you a welfare-earner or a multimillionaire? Drop-out or MD? Upstanding citizen or out on bail? Hitched or kicked to the curb?

I guess I'll start things off. I was born in Atlanta on Apr. 8, 1981, and I still live here. I'll forego my formative years, as my recollection of them is hazy at best. I started Kindergarten at the school across the street from my house, and was generally very well-liked and at the head of my class. The following year, however, my parents made the decision to sent me to parochial school.

Now, when I got there, I was mostly well-liked, but I immediately befriended someone who wasn't, which made me an outcast by association. Also, for general reference, kids are mean to kids on the same level as them, so you can imgine that when someone from the lower middle class is put in with overindulged, silver-spoon-in-their-mouth brats, which this school was in no short supply of, things are magnified that much more. Over the course of my eight years there I underwent a transmogrification from the bright, outgoing young lad I was into the shunned, introverted, and socially awkward guy I mostly am today. Oh, and that kid I befriended that was an outcast became accepted as one of the collective popular somewhere along the way, and immediately started treating me like pond scum. Which, as you can imagine, didn't help matters.

So, with my grades in the crapper, my parents decided to send me back to public school. I was initially horrified (my neighbor, an older boy, regaled me with glorified stories of drug busts and knife fights), but it actually kicked ass. I met some great people in symphonic and marching band (band geex unite!), and though I wasn't popular by any means, I wasn't hated and shunned, which was a pleasant change of pace. My grades still sucked throughout, though, and I ended up skipping a ton of classes and failing my last semester of senior year, and opted to take the GED, which, for any of you that may be looking at doing likewise, doesn't look good on resumes.

Sometime during my high school years, my dad got a computer with a scanner, and I entered the world of the internet fanart community. Not long thereafter, I won the Monthly Anime Gaijin in April 1999 (go look in the archives for it, if you'd like), which was a huge ego boost, and tons of people submitted for my character, which was even better. I had a website, did a few impromanga (round-robin comics) parts, did some good fanart every now and then, and even ran a few monthlies (monthly submission-based art galleries that are centered on various themes) of my own, one which wasn't popular at all and one which grew so popular I could no longer handle it. Eventually, that computer contracted a virus that makes successfully scanning a chore, hence my fade into the shadows in the past few years, and, because a lot of those art communities were what inspired me to draw in the first place, the near-cessation of my art output. The bug has bit me once more, though, so I'm looking to get a new computer very soon to make my big reemergence *crosses fingers*.

I got my first job at 16, at Media Play. almost 7 years later, I'm typing this from there. Yep, I still work there, no, I'm not a manager, but I'm only keeping this as part-time, as I FINALLY got a full-time job early this year. The new job's boring as hell, but it's good pay, and at very worst a good step toward something better. Doing both jobs is kinda sucky, but MP pays pretty respectably (finally, but I won't go into that) and the discount comes in mightily handy, as they sell basically everything I'm interested in, so I just can't bring myself to quit... paying regular price for everything would kill me. :(

Anyway, jumping back to after high school, I enrolled at a community college and attended about 4 semesters, and earned about 1 1/2 semesters worth of credits... needless to say, I wasn't committed to it at all. Ideally, I'd like to go back, but I really want to go to a art and design school, as that's what I want to do with my life.

Worked at Media Play... forever... but I did meet my current... girlfriend... well, we broke up a few months ago, but I really wouldn't say that we're not an item anymore... I'll just leave that one alone for now, too complicated. I'll just say that we were officially an item for almost 2 years. I won't tempt fate by predicting the outcome of the current situation.

I moved out of my parent's house and in with some friends early last year, but that situation just went really sour halfway through. I'll just say that one was a freeloading bitch that cost me more money than she should have, and when I pointed this out, it didn't go over well. I had to ride out the lease while I was living back with my parents, because of this she-demon and her cronies wouldn't let me out of it, despite being able to with no fees. Luckily, I avoided debt, but by the skin of my teeth.

So now I'm 23, living with my parents, in an undefined relationship, recovering from a period of creative non-output, and building up my savings from the wreck they were. But for the most part, I'd have to say things are looking up.

I am not a writer. So this is going to jump all over the place. Sorry in advance.

I was born in Bethesda Naval Hospital on December 11th 1978. The song playing on the radio when my parents took me home was "Dust in the Wind".

Home at the time was Bowie Maryland. I was an extremely bright, and happy child. My first memory was sitting on the floor of the kitchen, and tossing a pot lid across the room. My first words were "arf arf" at four months. I tought myself to read before my second birthday. I remember something about home schooling, I think my mom and some of her friends tried to start up a school of sorts (my mom was a teacher) I kind of remember having "visitors" to the "school" and things not going well. I entered Pointer Ridge Elementary for first grade. This is when things went downhill.

I didn't enjoy school, and began to dread going there. My parents decided I needed me some Jesus, or something, so they sent me to Holy Trinity Episcipal Day School at the start of second grade.

Bad move.

I was in nothing but trouble until I was expelled in third grade. This was around the time that I started playing Ice Hockey. I had played Baseball, and Soccer before this. Wrestled for a while too. Once I found hockey, that was it.

Back in Pointer Ridge. I was enrolled in Talented and Gifted classes because everyone thought I was some kind of child prodigy. I was there until we moved to Crofton Maryland 1991 at the start of middle school.

Middle school was worse than elementary school. I made friends pretty quickly (two of which I am still friends with to this day) but hated every second of being there. I got in verbal altercations with my teachers, was suspended a lot, and I stopped doing homework. I got in a fight with my friend Ryan (the drummer) and dropped him with the doom punch. :)
Eight grade was the year that I stoppped dreaming. The insomnia would come later.

The summer between eighth and ninth grade I went to Russia for three weeks. Not much happened there that I remember, but I met a really nice girl named Aleisha while on the trip. Turns out she was from Crofton too, to make a long story short we dated for a few years, I knocked her up, and her parents moved her to Wisconsin. I never saw her, or heard from her again.

I started my first band in tenth grade, think we were called "Fungus Amungus" or "Bubblehead" I forget. We had trash cans, and a shower stool for drums, and I had a bass that I ran through a stereo. We rocked. This was around the time that I first started getting into punk rock. This is also around the time that I really started getting into drugs.

School was still hell, but nothing too special was going on. In either 10th or 11th grade I found myself in a pop punk band called "Lemon Joy" yes... like the soap. We played a fair amount of shows, and recorded two albums which did pretty well. At the end of 12th grade the band broke up.

All throughout high school I had lots of stupid jobs. I think I worked at every fast food place imaginable. Walked out of every single one. I think I have quit one job correctly in my entire life. That was at the Sports Authority.

The summer between 10th and 11th grade I went to the beach at least four times a week with my friends Judy, Megan and Jay. I had some of the best times of my life, and I miss those three kids more than anything.

December 7th 1996 I stopped doing drugs. I was tired of it. I had taken hundreds of hits of acid, and probably smoked acres of pot, along with every other kind of drug imaginable. It was time to stop.

After graduating High School (with a 1.973 the cut off was 1.97 so I was pretty much at the bottom of my class) I enrolled in Frostburg State University. I got in based on my SAT scores, and my skill in photography. Hated every second of it. Ended up dropping almost all of my classes, and skipping the classes I had left. I was kicked out after two semesters.

Then I came home, met Liz, and we moved to Philly so I could go to the Art Institute up there. It was alright for a bit. Then I realized I was dirt poor, living in a converted washroom, and in a city that I hated. I dropped out after two semesters and came back to MD.

I borrowed some money from my parents and bought a house, back in Crofton. Went to a few schools. Graduated from Omega Studios as a Pro Recording Engineer, and a Pro MIDI Engineer. Got my MCSE and A+ certifications (useless!) from Johns Hopkins. Started taking classes at Community College, and dropped out. Bounced around from weird job to weirder job. (Selling vaccume cleaners door to door... ouch) until I got a "temporary seasonal position" at Funcoland. A few months later I was promoted to assistant manager at Babbages. A few months later I was a Store Manager. A few months later I was unemployed. But we've been over this Babbages crap before... its still on the boards somewhere, in case you missed it.

After this I got a job with Korly making smoothies for the people. I think I worked at an arcade around this time too. Eventually I moved out of my house to go to Baltimore and have a 3 month weekend with some friends. I came back and about one year later my girl moved out and here I am. Back on the drugs, back on the drink, and in a large empty house by myself.

Today I am 25. I am unemployed. I hate my life, and I drink too much.

P.S. I'm pretty sure I'm missing a year or two in here somewhere, and I know I've left out a lot of things. Most of those things, like the bands, and the Texas rockstar thing are still on the boards if you're interested.

Not much to say here but...

Born on Feb. 6th 1987 in Seattle Washington, then moved to North Carolina when I was 3.

In Elementry I was the major class clown, made lots of friends and also took up Tae Kwon Do. In the 5th Grade I won two gold medals for martial arts in the AAU junior olympics that took place at UNC Charolette. I quit after recieving my brown belt.

In Middle School my friends and I had our first experience with good ol' reefer, man it was something. Besides that middle school was a blur.

Now I'm trying to make it through the 11th grade, trying not to smoke (so much ), Preparing to go to Chapel Hill for a few days, working at the local Movie Theater, and sitting at my computer wasting my life in forums like this...Life is good. :)

My life story, hah. Lemme try to remember.

Born April 12th '88 in (I believe) Canton General Hospital, Ohio, sometime after my mother was eating a lobster dinner. I was 2 weeks late, and 4.6 pounds, and apparently I had a drawn-out birth and had some breathing issues. I spent a few weeks in an incubator and all my 'first days' baby pictures feature me behind glass.

My dad was still in med school, and my mother stayed at home with my brother and I. When I was two we moved to Medina where I am today. In preschool, I didn't make friends and kept to myself. I could read when I was four and my kindergarten teacher would have to bring in books for me to read or else I'd whine a lot while they went over the alphabet, I guess. I don't remember anything about that age except getting my cat Chester, who was found covered in tar.

Elementary I also don't remember too well. The few friends I had were usually male, or they moved away within a month or two. I wasn't too friendly and I had some major behavior issues at school. I was too bored. Tain was in my split class once, but I only remember a computer incident and his freaky friend John.

Middle school sucked. I had quit soccer at this point (after playing since I was five) after being invited to the state prep teams. I was into horseback riding, since it was a solitary thing. Again, few friends. A girl and semi-close friend from my riding stable died in an accident a short while before I hurt my back, so I quit soon after. On my eleventh birthday, at my dinner at a steakhouse, my mother decided to walk out on the family. There had been constant screaming and fights for as long as I can remember, about half caused by my brother and the rest over money. Happy birthday, learn how to live by yourself.

So I learned to cook and do laundry and was set. Didn't have the greatest social life, but it worked. Started commission artwork on eBay to get a few bucks to pay for the Internet bill and I wrote, a lot. Obsessively. It distracted me from never seeing my father, managing to ignore my drunk and perpetually angry brother, and forget about debt.

Highschool wasn't that bad at the start, but I wasn't too happy. Oh no, teen angst. Got into my schoolwork pretty heavily for something to do, and I've managed to maintain a 3.87+ so far. I wasn't really happy, as my one friend had moved in the very beginning of freshman year, but meh, I managed. Bummed around at other people's houses for long session of gaming and confused a lot of parents by asking to stay the night.

So, here I am now. I don't worry about money as much, despite the situation being worse. We've almost lost the house a couple times, and my brother continues to fuck up everything with his drug issues and arrests, but he's coming around. I can uphold a civil conversation with my mother now, and I don't look like the walking dead because I sleep a bit more. At the very least, I have Tain to keep me happy and a kickass father, when he's around.

Things are pretty good so far, and the only thing I'd like to change is me being a mopey little wuss back when.



So there ya go. Left out a lot, but that's been my life so far in a brief overview.

I guess I'll give this a shot:

I was born July 16th, 1986 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital (I think). My early years were pretty interesting, I had a good friend named Stevie (who was my friend since the day we were both old enough to be friends) and met some other kids around my apartment complex when I was 3. Stevie was a pretty cool kid cause he used to read me the manuals for my Sega Genesis games before I could read (he learned to read when he was around 2, and he could read perfect too). Anyways, not much more exciting stuff then that going around. I had a close relationship with my extended family and did fairly good in school (I couldn't read at first but once I learned I could read better then any of my class-mates). I wasn't super popular but I had plenty of friends, I finished elementary school then things got fucked up (and have pretty much stayed that way).

I guess around the time I started Middle School I went out to my grandmothers house with my dad who was sick the whole time. My grandmom brought me to meet my mom half-way and told me my dad was staying with her until he wasn't sick anymore. When we met with my mom she started talking about divorce or something and we left. I'm pretty sure she told me what was going on then or shortly there after. My friend Stevie's dad was always hanging around with my dad and that's how we were friends. They would go out all the time for a few hours then come back. Both of them were herione abusers, my dad had been an on and off drug addict from the time he was 12 and on. Well needless to say this starting creeping into my life, I wasn't allowed to see my best friend anymore and I was living with my single-parent mother.

I started losing a lot of old friends in Middle School and didn't make too much new ones and I was doing horrible in school. I started feeling worthless, helpless, and depressed. My parents were supposed to get back together but then my dad got involved with another women and my mom was crying all the time and dealing with plenty of her own problems. I still went to go see my dad every other weekend, he was planning on marrying his girlfriend but my mom wouldn't sign the divorce papers. After awhile, dealing with all the people making fun of me at school and my overall shitty life I started contemplating suicide. My dad had bought me a rifle a few years back and I was gonna shoot myself in the mouth. On that night I found out my mom had gotten rid of the rifle, if she hadn't I seriously doubt I'd still be here.

Things started to turn around...sort of. My dad's girlfriend kicked out him out due to his herione addiction and he came home on Christmas Eve. I got to spend my Christmas break that year watch me dad border on overdose, constantly shaking and stuttering. My mom wasn't going to put up with it and she was combating him, throwing his weed and herione away and whatnot. My dad finally decided he was going to clean himself up and committed himself to a rehab program. He stopped using for a month before he left, I was happy to have my dad back but he was being taken away from me again. The rehab program he went into is called Teen Challenge, supposedly they have a high success rate but the program was really strict. The first phase was the one that dealt with the addiction, it took 6 months. Me and my mom were allowed to talk to him something like 10 minutes a week on the phone and I think we got to visit him everyother week where the families could come. It was in an old mansion it what now is pretty much the hood in Germantown, Philadelphia. When he finished this phase he came home for a weekend then went onto the next phase, he got to come home once a month for the weekend but he was a lot farther away and he was going to be there for a year. This phase primarily dealt with getting your life back together and spiritual rehabilitation (it was a Christian program).

He finally made it through and came home, ironically we didn't get along. He was always on my back about things, especially about school which I still wasn't doing good in. It would be a few years later when we finally developed a good relationship and now me and my dad are real good friends (we're even getting a tatoo together). Anyways I continued to fuck up in Middle School, lost more and more friends, and I was still suicidal. I remember one day I was sitting in my living room and looked at my dads shoes and it made me think of how sad he would be if I killed myself and from that day on I had killed those feelings.

I'd pretty much had enough of being made fun of in the public school so I talked to my mom about switching to a school called The Christian Academy where one of my friends went. I started there not knowing anybody except a friend who went to church (who later got expelled for selling Marijuana), I didn't fit in with everybody my first year but I had my friends. Once 10th grade started up I was getting cool with everybody, I started hanging out with the black kids more (a lot went to that school) and I was kind of the funny gun in the group. I was well liked so everything was cool. Then things got fucked up again.

My dad had been talking about leaving my mom, which I saw coming because they didn't get allow but I wasn't being told everything. Right around August when he was getting ready to leave my mom told me he was going to live with another women, even though he had done this before it shocked the hell out of me. My mom was going through some severe depression and our household (if you can call it that) started to fall apart. I didn't talk to my dad for 2 months but I made up with him and we're closer then we were before, I like his new wife, and my step-siblings (one of which is Captain Vegetable). Things definately wern't going good on the homefront though.

When I started 11th grade I was getting real into the "street" culture but my involvement became closer when I was struggling to get money to eat everyday and I couldn't afford new clothes. I started fucking up in school again, but WAY worse then before. I messed around with drinking a little bit (never messed with drugs though, my dad taught me that lesson through his life...never even tried weed), and started messing with some bad people. I was clashing with my mom because I was running a boot-leg CD business at school and she didn't like it. I wanted out of school and came real close to being homeless and living on the streets a few times. One of my good buddies had been in that life before and was sort of swaying back into it and I was talking to him about getting work with some of the drug game in Wilmington. I almost bought a .45 with my Christmas money I had saved up, but it didn't work out, that probably would've been the ultimate move. Some of the people I was trying to get work with were big cocaine pushers but nothing worked out. I was going to sell weed for awhile and move up from there but I could never negotiate any good prices where I could make a profit.

Since nothing was working out and I realized the path I was going down I stopped looking and did my best to turn my life around. I still didn't finish up in school very good that year (my overall GPA was below a 1.00) and I couldn't graduate from that school if I went back the next year. I dropped out and was put in a position where I really didn't know what I was doing with my life, but I wasn't walking down a dangerous path anymore. I had been interested in the military my whole life but was never sure if I wanted to do it and by the end of the summer after 11th grade my dad had helped me make my decision, my school situation was fucked up though. They wern't going to take GED unless I already had it so I had to go back to school. Since my old school was too much for my mom and I didn't really want to go back (I liked the social scene there way better but there was too much damn work for me). I enrolled back in the public school and was graduating by less then a credit. I don't have much friends there but I pretty much keep to myself because I don't like too much people there. Everybody is a snobby rich kid, just not my type of people to hang out with. Anyways I'm out of school in less then a month and leaving for the Marine Corps in 2 1/2 months so hopefully things will stay on the right path.

Mine's been detailed time and time again on this board, in short, I love the good times and appreciate the bad, such as being born 4 1/2 months early, clinically dying four times, and losing most of my eyesight.

I'm too fucking lazy to write a book, so I'm going to do the cliff notes version.

Born September 26 1979. Was an outcast in elementary school, turned into a skinhead in middle school, then joined the drama crowd and the drug crowd in HS. Drank a lot, did a lot of drugs, had some sex, had a gorgeous GF that broke my heart into a million pieces (which I've yet to fully recover from) and dropped out of HS Junior year. Went back at the beginning of Senior year and dropped out again after a semester.

Had a job working at a hotel for the longest time, went to Europe in the summer of '99 with some buddies and had the greatest time of my life, even got to go to the Love Parade '99 in Berlin. Came back, moved out of home, and got myself in major fucking debt over the next 2 years.

Moved back into my mother's house to change my life around. Went back, got my GED, and proceeded straight to the community college. I'm just finishing up my AA now and am transfering off to the University of Iowa in the fall.

All in all, I've had my good times and my bad times. There's some things I'd like to change, but in general I'm happy with what I've had.

Born March 26th 1986 in Ste-Annes hospital in Montreal. Grew up in Lasalle, Chateauguay and finally my real hometown Saint-Laurent when I was 6. Grew up and had an awesome time there. Played basketball for the Saint-Laurent team and won MVP on my last 3 years. Won a dozen medals and trophies/awards/etc. School was great, I was top kid of my class every year, but that's not saying much in elementary when your average is 98. I made a ton of great friends and a elementary crush that I still see alot today, and goes to Dawson, a College in the heart of Montreal.

Saint-Laurent kicked all kinds of ass, I remember going to a field trip up north, we called them "classe vertes" where we'd rent a huge ass villa for the whole class and just relax and play sports and video games [that's right, teachers too] all day long. Some fucking great memories. I was also a huge game fanatic back then, finishing Mario bros 3 when I was...3, I started to get a huge facination with games and finally got suscribed to Nintendo Power when I was 10. There was this store near my house "Microplay" and they would have gaming contests in their store every month. I was the youngest player [10] and won 6 contests in a row [which entitles a cash prize of 65$ or any game of your choosing, I took the money]. Needless to say, I'm still pretty much the "gamer" and also bballer of the groups I hang out with. Old habits die hard.

I moved out of Saint-Laurent when I was 12, due to the fact that my parents weren't content with the house we bought and wanted something bigger, especially with 2 brand new sisters onthe way, we needed to start living large. In May of 1998, we moved 20 kilometers West of STL to the West of Montreal, [the West Island], more specifically, Kirkland. Leaving the old gang that took me a while to grow accustom to really sucked but I found out shortly after leaving that the new surrounding suited my personality a hell of a lot more than STL did. Go figure. So I lost the friends, the community, the park next to my house that rocked every Fridays and Saturdays with bball and rollerblading. I lost it all, even my Super nintendo. :(

For 5 years, I went to the "Ecole Secondaire Felix-Leclerc". I won't say that this school has changed me, but because of that great estasblishment I met some of the craziest, funniest and wildest people you could imagine. Grade 7 was a changing point for me, what with me moving and getting used to a completely different crowd. The West Isle is far different from the East side of Montreal. Where I came from, people lived happy little normal lives and didn't really "live it up" but we're glad with what they had. On the first day I moved here, I saw 4 Ferraris and a Viper GTS. I've never seen one in front of me before that day. Gave me a clear idea of what people here are about. My new home was in Kirkland which is a middle-upper class kinda region, so everyone is sort of fed with a silver spoon. Most of the kids we're pretty snotty, they'll treat you badly because you we're different, but once they saw how nice I was, they jumped in and said hello. The rest of my high years isn't much to talk about, except for the fact that my grades we're falling, tremendously. I was always bordering the passing grade and fooling around constantly. I look at those times as pretty grim moments of my life, what with my dad always yellin' at me to do better and start studying again, but i was just having a blast being a kid, and didnt really feel like al this school BS. I straightened out and did better in my finishing year and graduated last year in June 2003 and just moved on. Luckily I still see all the friends I made in the past. June 2003 was also the last year I played in any organized sports association. After moving in 1998, I played for the West Island Lakers, house and some inter city for 5 years, as well as 3 years with interscholar games all around MTL. There was also a Christians competition that I won a couple years back but there's not much to say about that.

I still live in Kirkland, and done with middle/high school, I go to John Abbott College in St-Anne-de-Bellevue, about 10 minutes off the West coast of Montreal. It's one hell of a fine school. About all the friends I made went downtown to Dawson College because its far nicer and the ratio of girl/boy students was insanely satisfying, but I decided to stay at Abbott because it took a good 8 minutes by car to get back home and 10 by bus as oppose an hour or two if I went downtown. So far, I'm doing fine, and trying to resist the temptation to just socialize and fail like everyone else is.

Afterwards, I plan to probably move far far far away, which is a weird thing to say since I usually hate moving, but one of my best buds is moving to Ottawa next year after we both finish at Abbott and I believe it would be a great idea to go study there, seeing how I'm someone that doesn't like to move around all that much. I thought about Journalism but I'm not satisfied with just going in that kind of career. If so, I'd like to be editor or something, because I was born to lead. Yeah, that's right.

I was born in the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on the island of Bermuda on August 2nd, 1980 to Donald and Joan. My father had been moved to a hospital in England, having been diagnosed with terminal Leukimia. He died on Sept. 10th, if I remember correctly.

My mother moved back to the US, Medford, MA to be exact, to be with family and try to cope with the loss.

I started off in catholic school, but that changed after it became ridiculous for my mother to try to afford it. We lived with my grandmother, and to this day we live in the same house. She was a great lady, liked to spoil her grandchildren.

So I played my sports, videogames, and did reasonably well in school.

Around the time I began high school we began to notice my grandmother was losing it. So my mother and took shifts taking care of her. Around this time I got my first job, at a hosiptal, doing food service during the week, and transporting duties (for patients) on the weekend. Met some chicks, blew a chance with a really hot one in there I remember, began dating my first in a long line of manipulative psycho bitches (though this one takes the cake at five years) and began smoking cigaretttes somewhat maniacally.

Got into music. Enjoyed it. Hated working with all but the most compatible of other people musically. Built up a practical haven in my basement of various musical equipment (Fully customized Drumkit built one cymbal at a time, Three guitars, one Bass, two amps, one mixer, one four track, one keyboard/synthesizer, various professional mikes...THE WORKS).

Then my basement flooded and I just recently got the will to start this shit up again, though its for much different reasons then before.

Got a 1230 on my SATS, but finshed with a substandardd GPA (2.345) if I recall. Had some fun with drugs, till it became unfun. Wound up with a scholarship to a school that ended up going bankrupt, never got my shit together in that area. Broke up with my chick. Wound up bouncing around from job to job. Quit working for awhile when my Grandmother died.

Took time off from life by being ridiculously lazy for two summers I never got to myself because of my grandmother and bitter resentment for the responsiblities shoved on me when I was young.

Never owned a computer till 2000. Found out about the internet, and sadly became a "livejournal saved my life" tool. Found Gamego when I found Shidoshi's live journa and asked him what the hell happpened to Gamefan. For all I make fun of the internet and how lame I for being on , I have met a bunch of great people online, (including M :tu: ), and have had a lot of opportunities I would never have even fathomed, because of this thing. So I can't complain.

At the moment, at 23 years old, I am struggling for perfection and fighting off unrealistic delusions of granduer for what I want to accomplish with my life, though not too hard as you need to be a bit unrealistic to get somewhere on this planet.

* Ruled at school but I got in trouble A LOT! I called my 1st year teacher "a grumpy old bitch"... but was still accelerated to a combined year 2-3 class. More trouble throughout primary school. I started puberty REALLY early... which sucked... although resulted in "show me yours, show me mine" moment in year 5".
* High school I was pretty much in a multicultural group of boys that weren't arseholes but weren't nerds either (I had to pretty much hide the fact I loved videogames so much to be accepted in said group). Puberty started to fuck me around harder... fucked up my voice hard and made my skin look like the Somme. And just as I was hearing through the grapevine from multiple sources that the nicest girl in school and some others had crushes on me :(

Born April 16th, 1977. Lived my whole life in Wilmington De. So.... let's start from the begining. I've always been a dork. No escaping that. I started out as a middle class dork in a private school with upper class rich kids. Do I even have to get into how much hell that was? Anyway, the good thing for me was that I turned out to be a good athlete. By 8th grade everybody at least knew that I was a huge dork who could greatly improve the wrestling and football team's chance of winning, so shallow as it may have been, they let up a bit.

Highschool comes around and I can't afford to stay in private school. This turns out to be the best thing that ever happens to me. I'm accepted by the new people I meet in highschool. I'm still a huge dork, but I can socialize much better now for whatever reason. Highschool football turns out to be one hell of an experiance. I'll never forget it. Baseball is my true sporting love, but I suck at it so what can you do? I can hit a fastball a million miles, but a curve? Forget about it. I continue my wrestling. I started every single varsity match from my freshmen year through my senior year. I would go on to coach for several years after I graduated and compete in several independant tournaments, but my college didn't have a team so my full time competition ended with highschool. I'm currently trying to get in shape to wrestle this upcomming winter. I've got a looooong way to go, but it will be worth it.

So yeah, highschool was mostly sports......sports and drinking. :p Damn, did we have some crazy parties in the summer. I still can't look at vodka. Oh, and somehow I ended up as senior class president through all of that.

At the end of my senior year a good friend taught me how to play guitar. That would end up changing my life forever.

I met a girl my Junior year of highschool. I never kissed her and never went out with her, but she was the first girl I fell in love with. We did everything together for a year, but I was terribly awkward and didn't know how to move anywhere with it. I'm still in touch with her. She is in the middle of a two year run with the Peace Corps in Africa. I got my first real girlfriend at the very end of my senior year. We went to separate colleges 2.5 hours apart, but it lasted 3 years. The breakup was very, very messy.

Backing up a bit, my first year of college (U. of Delaware) I roomed with my good friend who taught me how to play guitar. We swore we'd never join a fraternity. Turns out we ended up founding one. Funny how things work. We were approached by a mutual highschool friend who told us he wanted to bring Kappa Sigma to Delaware. Sure. Why not? What started as 7 of us is now one of the biggest fraternities on the campus. A fun run to say the least.

Back to my breaking up with my first girlfriend.... I was a wreck. I dropped an entire semester of courses. Before I thought of dropping a semester, I pretty much failed out the whole semester before. Ended up setting me back two years in the end. I was on anti-depressants, therepy, the works. Turns out I get set up with a girl as a blind date for a Kappa Sigma date party. She pulls me right out of it. I've never been happier after I met her. She litterally kicks my ass to graduate. I get my mechanical engineering degree. Years later, she litterally kicks my ass to take the fundamentals on engineering exam. I pass it and get my official engineering intern status... But I'm working as a technical writer. Doh! Funny how things work out. :) Things are going great with her. She moves to Virginia to teach elementary school. I stay in De. The commute isn't too bad. Marriage talk is thrown around... Then she goes to grad school at Penn State. The pressure gets to both of us, and things start to fall apart. We broke up, but we see each other frequently to this day. Glad to know her.

I had another girlfriend after her. There's a recent-ish Fight Club thread around about how I'm all screwed up over her.... Much detail there so I won't get into that here.

Rewind a bit to the "guitar changing my life". Turns out I'm a very mediocre guitar player....but my foot is in the music door. I go full force into music recording/live sound/studio work. By the time I break up with my second girlfriend, I am the soundman for my current band, Omnisoul. (www.Omnisoul.com <-shameless plug). Things go great there for two years. We're climing the ladder. That takes us to present day. They grew faster than me. We're at the "opening for national acts" level now. I have zero experiance with systems that powerful and rooms that big. I'm on "monitor board" duty right now while I learn. With work I may some day make it back to the "front of house board". Fun stuff anyway and the only thing that holds my sanity together right now.

So... still a dork (my Transformer collection is testimony to that). Still technical writing, but looking for engineering work. Single. Do'in the band thing. I'd get into more, but I'm sick of typing. :P

Messed around with my best friends girlfriends ( not really as payback, she's a great girl, my roomate now ) worked as clerk at drugstore, worked as HVAC technician, Lisa, Lisa, Niani, got into drinking and druggin', pot and beer and hallucinogens at this point, worked at Fedex call center, went on a cruise, did a bunch of coke, got back, was miserable, painkillers and beer now, got job at law office, dont do as many downers, no uppers at all, moved out of my parents house at 19, lived my sister and boyfriend horrible time, moved to the upstairs apartment. met cecilia, got dirtier, than cleaner, happier.

Born in Detroit, Michigan Harper hospital March 21st. I am my parents 8th and final child.

@ age of 3, was hit by a car, almost killed, spent most of my toddler years regaining my ability to walk.

@ age 6, my mother died early of heart failure. Was transferred out of my school district temporarily because my dad worked...no one to take care of me but my sister.

@ age 10 my dad retired from Chrysler...I returned to my school distict.

My dad never remarried or shacked up with anyone because he loved my mom and couldn't bear be with another, so he raised me himself.

@ age 18 graduated from Osborn High School in Detroit. Obtained a chauffers license and began driving deliverytrucks.

@ age 23, truck driving getting me nowhere...dad suggest I get HEO license and sent me to Howell, MI to learn to operate Heavy machinery (Bulldozers, FE Loadrs and cranes). Trained for 6 months, aquired license.

Began working in construction...money tumbles in ($22 an hour), but I hated construction because it forced me to travel too much.

I buy a house at age 25, also aquired motocycle, fishing boat months follwing.

1994, dads health fails, hes in the hospital. I take off work to be by his side. He dies Memorial Day weekend. Saddest day of my life...I now have no living parents.

Soon after, I quit construction because of the traveling...so I take a job at local trash plant running bulldozer in the garbage...pay great, no traveling, 5min to work. JOY!

2 years later accident at work tears a chunk out of my left leg, resulting infection creates blood clot...I am hopitalized. Blood clot breaks loose goes to my lungs, I have pulmonary embolism...almost dies...40 days in hospital. Forced to amputate left leg below the knee. Prostetic device allows me to walk and look normal unless I wear shorts. I am now a ROBOT...the ROBOTRON is born.

Currently still working, but in litagation with company. Girlfriend leaves me for another guy...because of my leg I think. Low self esteem and depression creeps in. Unable to function in social situations. Still single...cannot find a woman who loves me. Buys powerful computer and uses it to kill time.

Slowly, but surely, becoming a fully functioning robot.

Unhappy childhood mostly due to overbearing parents. With no TV, spent almost all my time reading. Have one older & one younger sister, neither of which I have ever liked much.

A few good friends in school. Worked as a journalist for a local paper and hated it. The best white-boy hoops player at a school full of brothas - I was kind of a legend, I guess. Spent many weekends @ Pakmann arcade...Gyruss player of some note.

College @ U of La Verne (La Verne, CA) = relief cuz I moved out. Was a TV & Radio broadcasting major. Published some creative writing, worked in the university library, wrote/produced a radio serial that aired on a couple stations as senior project. Spent a month in Mexico learning Spanish and a summer in San Diego doing construction. Scored 48 points in a game for the hoops team. Fell in love with a gorgeous bisexual woman from Argentina who eventually joined a scary christian cult - a totally surreal experience that taught me a lot. Graduated summa with honors.

Worked three weeks in the radio industry, which taught me I did not want to spend my life doing that. Moved six times in one year before finally getting my own pad. Went to work for Crown Books for five years, ran my own store, clubbed a lot. Met my wife (who also worked @ Crown), quit the bookstore and worked for Loyola Law School in L.A. Trashed both ankles = hoops days over. Accepted to UCLA's MLIS program, but dropped out because it was not right for me.

Mom died suddenly Oct. 1999 of a brain hemorrhage - a major loss that changed my immediate family forever.

But I started my own, marrying on Halloween 2000. Quit the law school, went to work for The Huntington Library helping scholars from around the world do their research on everything from the California Gold Rush to life & times of Jack London to the history of chinese botany to renaissance methods of human torture. Endlessly fascinating work which is different every day.

Two dogs, a house, really tight circle of friends, married to my best friend. Been a long journey, but I am happy to say things are good.

I started typing out my life story and realized that it isn't sad or interesting at all.

Elementary school: I was the fat kid that most people picked on, but that kinda died down when I kicked the crap out of a kid because of it. But I was rather well liked by my classmates outside of that, I was the loud funny one... and I still am the the loud funny one. It was here where I made some of the friends that I hang out with today.

Middle School: Got my ass kicked by a 6 foot tall black guy, who was... probably 12. No reason behind the fight he was made so he started hitting first person he saw. But it was in front of the entire gym which... was about 60% of my entire grade. So I still catch shit about that, but I mean come on, he was like 100 times bigger than I was. In 7th grade I decided to be an ass and abandon my friends to try to be 'cool.' That was really stupid, Middle school sucked so much, it was really friggin terrible.

High School: Got back together with my old friends in ninth grade and started to have a great time. I don't really have any complaints regarding high school besides the general suckiness of it, but I couldn't have asked for better people there. I was nominated for class clown but lost to a friend of mine (who most people agree isn't very funny). Graduated with a 2.9999 because I was a shithead my freshman year and didn't do my schoolwork. Because of it I got into a college I didn't want to go to.

College: Here I am at Christopher Newport University two weeks from finishing my freshman year. I'm transferring out of here next year as I got into Virginia Tech and wait listed at James Madison University, but everyone here is trying to talk me out of it. But I'm gonna go anyway, I don't like this place too much.

So nothing really all that tragic or exciting here.

I am bored so I will give the short version. Not many of you know me so this is only fair. Also, this is really not that interesting.

Born: March 26 1981 In Elkgrove Village in Illinois I think.

I tried to think of the next thing, this is not really working. I don’t remember my childhood very well. I remember when I turned 5 I had a party in my parents basement where I got a Light saber that was like twice as long as I was tall. My mom took a picture of me spearing it through my friend’s chest. I think that is why I remember it.

Up through 6th grade the only thing that I really remember is hating Spanish class. Weird reading your guys stuff. I am really not that old, yet remember almost nothing before this time – 12 years old. I remember a sleep over party when I turned ten where my mom rented the entire Nightmare on Elm St. movies that were out. When I was younger I wanted to be a fireman.

In middle school I was ostracized. I just moved from another town and knew no one. I was going into 6th grade and would be with these people through 8th grade and some longer. I had many choices on what language to study in school and for some reason I picked Latin. My time there was not fun and the students mainly did not like me. I remember getting picked on and not being able to find a girlfriend.

9th grade nobody liked me still. Well it felt that way at least. I became more of an outcast and had somewhere around 40 detentions my freshman year. 10th grade I met my friend Micah. Great guy, taught me to do just about every drug under the sun. When I got kicked out of my house a few times I stayed with him. Good times.

I remember not feeling challenged in school and just having a C average. I never really did my homework unless it was a report. The only class I remember liking was English. I did quite well in English.

I got a girlfriend my Sophomore year too. It was towards the end of the year, but I don’t exactly remember. She was a year older than I was. It took 4 months for me to get into her pants. I was her first, I felt cool about it, but I guess that I spent too much time with her and my friends thought I ignored them.

My Junior year I was in love, stoned, and made a 2nd place state wide Movie Short. It was a good year. I realized that I needed to graduate early to go to college with my “love”.

I graduated early and went to The University of Illinois Chicago. My Senior semester of highschool I got a 3.5 (out of 4) and graduated with a 2.7 GPA. Not bad.

I went to about 2 weeks worth of class. My 2+ year girlfriend decides that, while I was drunk one night, to go over to my roommates bunk. I wake up early. I open my wrist with a bowie knife. It was frightening.

I moved back home after that. My drug habit increased and I was just doing nothing in life. I stole from my job – stole lots – and was being a complete looser. When I was working at Blockbuster – not the job I was stealing from – an Ex-Girlfriend from HS moved back into town. Almost a year had passed since my last girlfriend broke up with me. I was not over it.

We dated for a bit – Sara is her name - then ended up moving in together after both getting kicked out of our houses. Apartments suck. Roommates suck. Life sucked. I was delivering pizzas and worked as a temp doing data entry.

After the lease was coming up on a year Sara told me I was going nowhere in my life, and that if I did not doing something about it that she could no longer be with me. It was quite more romantic and compassionate than I make it sound. It was raining and we were making up in front of a mall after a fight, rain matted our hair to our faces.

That was a little over 4 years ago. I joined the military (USCG) and that is where I type this from, work. We got married after I got out of boot camp. Shit was rough for a bit, I thought we might get divorced after only being married a year, but we made it.

Now she is finishing up her second year of Nursing School and I have agreed to stay in service until she graduates. I will at that time go back to school. I want to be an English teacher with a minor in Theology.

Actually that turned out longer than I thought it would and I left out a hell of a lot of shit.

here's a story for the kids...

I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 22, 1985. I lived there for about a year I think, then my mom and dad moved to Arizona, my mom divorced my dad there and moved me and her to Escondido CA, it's north of San Diego. At this point I was so young, I didn't even remeber my dad, and by the time I was four my mom was dating my future step father, who when I was six married my mom, and now I proudly call him dad.

Anyway, I went to elementry school and did really well. I was moved into all the advanced groups like GATE and Wordly Wise, but I really hated doing school work. I did the crossing guard program, and that was fun.

We moved into our current house right before I started Middle School. Now middle school was not a bad experience for me. I never had a lack of friends, I never got picked on, but, at the same time, it was middle school. Classes were dumb, rules were overly strict, and there was the over all akwardness of trying to grow up, but sucking at it.

I started skateboarding in seventh grade. I picked it up pretty fast, and skated all the way into my junior year of highschool. I was doing a ten stair and I crushed up my left hand. It was two months before I skated again, and the next time I got on a board I rolled my ankle, and never skated again. I was very close to going am too. Luckily this was the off season forthe other sports I was doing. But I'll get there.

Highschool is the logical next place for this to go. Now highschool was alright. I had a diverse collection of friends, alot more freedom, class choices, and again, I never had to go through any of the scolding or teasing you could get in your freshman year. But boy was it fun to dish it out later.

I met and dated alot of crazy ass bitches around this time too. Seriously, three of them had either been in a mental institution, or were put on medication and seeing doctors regularly.

I got my first job Junior Year working at a deli by the beach. It was great. Awesome food, chicks in bikinis, great tips, fun people. I had the best boss ever too. Funny guy, who grew alot of weird vegetables and made us cakes all the time.

Near the end of Senior Year, I left the deli and went to gamestop, I was there until about two weeks ago. I have mixed feelings about the time I spent there. On the one hand I got games at dicount, more hours and better pay. On the other hand, they worked me like a dog, payed me less then they really should have, and I had no free time.

Moving along. One good thing about high school, was all the free shit I got at teh end of my senior year. I won a nice digital camera, a big TV (which I returned and got cash back for, w00t indeed!) and a bunch of free food things through ASB.

I got a 1280 on my SAT's and graduated with a 3.4 something GPA. Also somehwere in there I ran Varsity Cross Country and Track. I Pole Vaulted, which is, without a doubt, the best sport in the history of forever. ASB was a good experience, taught me team work and resposibility, alos I got to play music at lunch and piss of all the black kids when I didn't have rap.

I also lost two cars right after senior year, one in a head-on and another was stolen.

Good Side story: one day I played The Pixies' Where is my Mind, and as you all know it is the ending theme to Fight Club, well two fights broke out during it. Amazing!

I now am a very part time student at a local Community college. I say part time because I stopped going at teh end of last semster and I took this semester off. In my defense, I lived on a couch at Rhydant's house for two months towards the end of last semster and the ebgining of this one. So the going to school, and being able to afford it wasn't really an option. now that I am back at home I'm going to return next semester.

At this point, I am just relaxing and enjoying life. I found a girl I love and I don't really care if I get another job for a while. I have enough games to keep me entertained for a while, food to eat and a place to sleep. It's a good thing.

I was born on Friday August 13th 1982 in Winchester, Massachusetts, was a twin ( still am, I was kicked on the way out and born with a black eye if you believe it )and had an overly generous serving of estrogen living with a million girls ( three sisters: older, younger, and twin, no brothers ). I was a quiet kid, shy, sensitive. Played pop warner football starting in fifth grade and continuing through freshman year of high school, started playing guitar in seventh grade and have been in a hundred shitty bands since then, my my first serious girlfriend, Crystal, in eighth grade. We were together for three or four years, until I caught her messing around with my best friend one night, all is fair though, because I kind of swiped his girl from him a couple of months prior. I got into drinkin' and druggin' somewhere in high school, experiment with all the usual things. I was elected class president of my senior class, took my mom to the senior prom as a gag. Worked a couple of years at a drugstore. Started getting terrible panic attacks a year after high school, to compensate, began taking lots of painkillers. Worked a year as an HVAC Technician and two years as FedEx customer service rep. Went on a cruise to Bermuda. Was pretty miserable for these few years, so I'm not going to write anymore about them. Ummmm, got my current job at a law office, moved out of my parents house at 19. Met my current girlfriend ( who is way to good looking to be with me ), a few days after we got together her dad died, so that's how I met her whole family, moved in with her. Got pretty dependant on pain pills, so I cut them out as much as I could. Still trying to avoid panic, whilst thinking about it at least once a day, about to get thrown out on the curb because my landlord ( my older sisters fiance, as well ) got arrested for armed robbery. And thats about it. Played alot of music and video games throughout.

I was born on February 6th, 1983 at the Bristol Memorial Hospital in Bristol, TN. My early childhood years were spent in a dilapidated house in Piney Flats, TN only a mile from an infamous haunted house (The Allison House) and a road renown for fatal car accidents. My first experience with games came pretty early, when I played Dark Castle and a Star Trek game on my parent's Apple II. At age 5, they got me my NES and there was much rejoicing. I lived there until about the age of 6 or 7, when my parents had a pretty messy divorce.

The next few months I spent on my Grandparent's tobacco farm while they battled it out in court, in the end they opted for joint-custody of me. This didn't work out well because immediately after the divorce my mother moved down to Florida to live near her father and put the house me and my Dad were living in up for sale (her father had bought it for them as a wedding gift, I think). Luckily, no one wanted it so it stayed on the market for the next three or four years.

After a couple years living with my Dad during the school year and my Mom during the summer, my Mom forced my Dad to turn the tables and made me live down there with her during the school year. I hated this arrangement because my Mom at the time was living in Tallahassee and because of the district she lived in I had to go to an entirely black school. Because of my size (I was a pretty big kid, even then) and my distinctive hillbilly accent, I was beaten down pretty regularly. The only good memory I have of this time period is on Saturdays my Mom would take me with her to the mall, and while she got her hair done she gave me like twenty dollars in fives to spend in the arcade. I'd piss that money away pretty quickly, playing World Heroes and that hologram game with the time-travelling cowboy.

Eventually we moved out of Tallahassee to live closer to her father, my grandfather, in Bristol, FL. This arrangement was better for me because the school was populated with moronic redneck kids who made me look like a genius in comparison, I held one of the highest grade-point averages in the school my entire time there. Naturally, this didn't make me any friends, so I spent most of my free time alone playing on my NES.

Finally my Mom got to the point where she couldn't afford to keep me around anymore and sent me back up to live with my Dad full-time. We had to move into an apartment next a bowling alley because someone had actually bought the old house. We lived there for maybe three years before moving into the house I'm living in now, right next to the old family tobacco farm (which has since become grazing land for the cattle of a local rancher because the tobacco industry screwed all the TN farmers).

Through high school I made most of the friends I have today, got into games hardcore during that time and haven't looked back, graduated in 2001 and immediately went into the local Community College where I'm going for a degree in Socio-Behavioral Science.
I've only had a few jobs worth mentioning since high school, the most entertaining of which was that I was an announcer for a local wrestling federation (it was a real deal operation to, not backyard), but had to eventually quit because they couldn't pay me for traveling expenses. After that I was a Bagger / Cashier at a Food Lion, but had to quit that because they wouldn't schedule me around my classes. Since then I've been unemployed, but a full-time student.

As it stands right now, I'm about two or three credits shy of my Liberal Arts degree, I'll be transfering to ETSU either next fall or spring of '05. Not much else to say, I've left a lot out, but most of them are just funny (and / or tragic) stories.

My life is pretty bland, so I'll break it up into years.


I was born on December 27th, 1984 at Palomar Medical Hospitol in Escondido, CA. Right in time for dinner.

Before 1st grade: Don't remember much. Didn't go to preschool, just stayed home and played with my Ninja Turtles.

1st-3rd Grade: Don't remember alot about this, either. I was the best person at reading and math in my class, and had alot of friends. Got my NES around this time.

4th: Moved, and went to a different school. I met Opaque here and alot of other people i still see every now and then.

5th: My dad lost his job and started drinking. Heavily. Me and my two sisters moved in with my mom. Life was pretty rough because my mom wasnt exactly prepared to handle 3 children all by herself ( we had lived my only my dad fo about 3 years prior). But we got through it.

6th: Middle school was... interesting. I had alot of friends and enjoyed life quiet a bit. My older sister stole my SNES and sold it to someone. Bitch. Started getting into computers around this time.

7th: Our apartment manager misread our lease, and so instead of having 2 months to move out, we had 2 weeks. Chaos insued and we moved in with my mom's then boyfriend. Around this time my older sister was getting into alot of trouble, and my dad was preparing to move back out to Colorado to take care of my grandmother. He decided to take my sister with him. My other sister and I went out to visit over the summer. While at my mom's boyfriend's house thing sucked. I had to live with his two snotty children and hear our parent's yell at eachother. My grades fell, and we were more or less kicked out. Lived in a hotel and at my aunt's house for 2 or 3 days and my mom found another apartment. I played for the school hockey team, too. And during one un-supervised practice (our coach was a ditz) the team decided to turn on me. I was the target of every shot and every stick if i went near someone. They wouldnt let me off the rink until I snapped and two handed one kid's face. Probably the worst day of my life.

8th: We were still kinda recuperating from the previous year. My sister moved back from Colorado, and I got in a fight nearly every week with this one kid named Tim. I'm really now sure why we hated eachother so much. Nothing big happened (which was good) and i flew under the radar for a good amount of time. Also, started hanging out at TNL and in the GF_Tavern. could be sooner, but i forget.

9th: We moved into the first house I ever lived in. First day of high school I was nearly knocked to my ass by some Senior. Then alot of my friends wouldnt talk to me. I was alone for a few days until i finally found someone I knew who I could hang out with at lunch. I was really terrified of high school for the first few weeks. My uncle gave me his old snowboard and took me up to Big Bear, and that was my new thing. The year went by and I made a couple of new friends and ended quietly.

10th: Over the summer I had started playing football for the school. But i caught bronchitis and couldnt walk across a room without hacking up a lung. So that ended pretty quickly. My mom had gotten back with her boyfriend (mentioned above) awhile back and the two decided to get married. Great. He make an addition to his house and we move in. I work as an I.T. intern at my mom's office and make $9 for building computers and playing games. Went to my first concert ever. Saw Radiohead at the Hollywood bowl in LA with Opaque. Life was great.

11th: Things turn to shit at home and my mom and step-dad of 2 months get devorced. We move out to a small apartment right nextdoor to the high school. Nothing new or anything we couldnt handle. I stopped hanging out with my two best friends for no apparent reason. When ever I see them around its kinda akward. Opaque and I walked to my house every day after school to watche Cowboy Bebop and playe video games. Played hockey for the school, flew under the radar abit once more, and things started to pick up. Best year of high school.

12th: This year was really layed back. As a senior in my high school you didnt really have to do anything. So i didnt. still passed all my classes and graduated with a 3.25 and an SAT score of about 1180. I met a really amazing girl during this time named Laura. I still see her every week or so, but have yet to make a move. Got my first real job at Home Depot pushing carts and loading shit. Not great, but the money was good.

First year of College: I go to Palomar Community College. Its like high school with cigarettes and an arcade. Not horrible. We move into a house the next city over during the summer. Then move out about 4 months later. Turns out the owner of the house had died and his family sold it to someone else. No one told us. The joke is on them, though. The house's foundation is cracked. :)

At Palomar I made a grip of new friends. One including TNL's NGEFreek. Good times. Then in Febuary I crashed my truck into a Honda CRV. Another set back. I search for a job for 2 months until I find one, then walk out on that after two weeks. The following day i get a job at a drug store (Long's). And thats where I am now. Things are going pretty well right now. I'm building a portfolio in graphic/web design, I have a good job, and am more or less happy.

Now: I take a shower and go out for abit.

It all started on May 28th, 1984. Yes, I’m a Gemini. Yes, you don’t care. I was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada as a baby of the human caliber. Originally I was like any little kid. I was happy and I was entertained by the meekest of jokes and objects, but I had very bad asthma. For some reason I can still remember memories from back when I was one year old. I always remembered a place we went with a lot of old ruined castles and ferryboats. I asked my mom just recently what that was and she was amazed I remember that because I was only one at the time. Before my first birthday my asthma condition worsened to the point where they thought I might die. I was hospitalized in a oxygen tent for two or three weeks and apparently ate nothing by vanilla ice cream and apple juice all day long. I wish I could get me some of that action now… minus the asthma thing of course. Needless to say I got over it. I have no memories of being ill in the slightest aside from asthma as a kid.

So I grew a little bit and it was time to be off to regular public school. I went to JR. Kindergarten and wasted some time, then regular kindergarten and actually learnt some stuff. After grade 2 I learned my family was going to be moving to Toronto because my dad was getting a new job and a huge raise (he works at the Bank of Montreal). I protested, all my friends were in Ottawa and I didn’t want to leave. But I was young, and stupid. Once I got to Toronto and went in to my class in grade 3 I realized things weren’t going to be so bad. Halfway through the year I puked all over our Health teacher and was the most popular kid in class for doing so. Everyone believed it was because of the stuff she was teaching us, but I was just really sick that day, probably from a bad egg. Elementary school from grade 3 – 8 was a piece of cake. I went to the biggest piece of shit school called Parkside. Despite its name it had only three baseball diamonds and no parks of any sort, not even those shitty parks no one wants to use. The school itself has since been condemned for being so worn out. The building itself was just a giant hallway, but I didn’t complain. I didn’t really care either way. I cut class a lot yet still managed to keep up an A average. I think this is where I developed my major obsession with procrastination. I would wait to do projects the night before it was due and still manage to pull an A or B.

Anyway, next is high school. Things are a little different here. In grades 9 and 10 I goofed off almost exclusively with friends. In grade 9 I got 100% in business. I have to credit a kid named Andrew (another kid) who sat next to me. I used to cheat off of him all the time and he really knew what he was doing. In grade 10 everything was as non-shalont as possible. I wouldn’t do most assignments and often just sat in the class and made fun of the faggy kids with dry sarcasm. This was back when gay was the new hip word everyone used. There was this one kid named Andrew Reeves (yes, there are a lot of Andrews in my history) who used to bug the hell out of me. He was just to fucking… ugh. It’s hard to explain. He’s one of those kids you just want to go ape on because of his personality. So I got through grade 10 by the skin of my teeth. In grade 11 and 12 I pulled up my socks and brought my average up to about an 85%. Grade 11 and 12 are what colleges look at when you apply around here (for the most part) and luckily I knew this information. I never got depressed and I never had ‘teen angst’. I personally find both to be the most fake pieces of shit excuses in the world… but I’ve never experienced them so I could be dead wrong. Depression is an excuse to lock yourself in a room and mope around all day, again I could be wrong, but I don’t care. As for teen angst… I always thought high school and teen problems were so little and didn’t matter. I can shrug the biggest teen situation off with no remorse. I'm one of those lucky kids that had good parents. Sure, they fight. But they aren’t douche bags or anything.

I also got into the web heavily. I own and used to run www.WrestlingGames.com, now defunct. We got a mention on Game Informer and IGN for our coverage back when No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 were coming out from THQ. Through the months of September 1st – November 1st we received 28 million page servers, and about 700,000 of those were unique. But this was at a time when the internet was in it’s big downturn cycle, so before I could capitalize on this all the banner ads went out of business. Adcast (a banner service) owes me 5,000 dollars, and I’ve come to terms that I’ll never see that money. But oh well. I ran the shittiest board off that sites also… it was so shitty. It was like Gamefaqs, but with stupid nerds who think they can run everything. Ugh… I still own the domain name and register it every two years to spite my ex-employee who wants it more than anything. We're creditted in both Smackdown 2 and No Mercy's credits for our coverage of their games, so that's pretty cool that I'm creditted in the last good wrestling game, stateside.

Throughout all of high school I was the biggest jerk/asshole you’d ever meet. I’d make fun of any and everything from your face to your cats face. I always had some snaky comment.

I’m also lucky because don’t have to worry about money either, because my dads a banker. Any money I borrow off of him I have to pay back, but it’s nice to have a security net. Must suck not to. I pay for my school entirely on my own. This is why I work at Pizza hut. I use the money from there to put myself through school because my parents believe in me making my own way. They’re right, I don’t want to turn out like Napalm. So I work my ass off for little pay and do it a lot and that’s where I am.

Throughout my whole life I’ve been good at art when I apply myself and enrolled in a design program at Durham College / The University of Ontario. I don’t want to be a graphic designer, I want to be an animator. I want to work on animating for movies, videogames and doing special effects. You need a three year art course to even be considered for approval to any programs. I hope to go to Sheridan College once I’m done, but it’s expensive and far away. Disney, EA, Dreamworks, ILM and others all go to Sheridan College to look for animators and I hope I can get in there. If not I know I can get in to Seneca College’s animation course. It’s closer and has a reputation as well, just not as much of one as Sheridan College.

Anyway, Durham is a good school with a reputation for a high job success rate for graduates and the Graphic Design program here has one of the highest reputations in the entire country. Recently some kid was shot in killed at the On Campus Bar, EP Taylors, so that sucks. I now know why Durham College has such a high reputation. They teach you how to creatively think and organize things. Last week alone I had nine projects due, all huge, in one day and they teach you thoroughly about colours and prepress, which most people don’t know about when they graduate (there’s more to design than just making something look nice). I’m currently wrapping up my second year. I’m not into design all that much and have to force myself through it instead of dropping out like most people would do in my position (I’m not used to giving up). My average is a B-, so I’m doing all right (that’s an average average for this course. They mark really hard) I’m currently learning Flash and did my first animating for Joystick Adventures, which failed. But I’m still trying though. That robot animation was my first attempt at animating something properly (not key framing everything, for those in the know). It turned out okay. But during the summer expect to see more flash animating out of me.

My points of interest are improving my animating skills and ability to time sound properly. Very important.

I have my own garage videogame team. Gibbits from the boards is one of the programmers in it, and I, of course, am a graphic/visual designer for them. It’s progressing at a snails pace but we’re coming along. I hope to one day be able to head to E3 and actually announce games. But that’s a long long ways away. But that’s why I love animation; it opens up so many avenues. And if I do make it, you know I’ll hook you guys up with free shit.

So that’s where I am right now. Nothing to interesting here… after reading some of your back-stories I realize how good of an upbringing I had. But then I again, I always realized it. I’m lucky in the way that I like to stop and smell the daisies every once and awhile. I hate to look back on something and say: “Man that was a great time.” I always like to say: Yeah, this is a good time right now.

That’s where I am now. I’m boring and maybe someday will be rich.

p.s. I outgrew my asthma around age 10.

I was born february 16th 1985 in Manly Hospital. I was diagnosed with a hand deformity where they're mis-shapen and missing some fine motor muscles. Doctors said I would never write properly or do anything involving fine motion, HA!

My appendix burst when I was 2. It took them a while to realise what was happening as its very rare for it to happen at such a young age. Apparently, if they waited a few more hours more before operating, I'd have died.

Um, my aunt died of cancer when I was very young, so I don't remember her at all. Same with one of my grandfathers.

At age 10, my grandmother had a heart attack and 2 strokes. She survived, but has never been the same. Because my mother had to stay with her for around 6 months, my dad was so busy taking care of us he didn't have time to run his business, and as such went bankrupt. It took a few years to get some financial stability.

Started playing bass when I was 15. I'm completely self taught. First song I learned was Guerilla Radio by RATM.

Through ages 16-17, I was incredibly shy and unsocial. After high school, I took 9 months off doing anything, and its the best thing I've ever done in my life. I'm nowhere near as shy as I was and I go out all the time now.

Hrm, let's see:

I was born on October 4, 1984 in Jersey City, NJ. I've been living here ever since then. My mother is from New York and my father is from Puerto Rico. We've always had money problems so we've even lived in the same building since I've been born. We are the oldest tenants and pay very low rent. That's probably the only good part. The neighborhood is as dangerous as I can remember. Stepping outside at night has a high chance of ending bad.

Started going to private school at 4. It was okay. It was a little awkward, though. I learned Spanish as a child and didn't know much English despite living in the United States all of my life. Since I went to a small private school, everyone knew each other. I basically grew up with the same people from kindergarden all the way to eigth grade.

High school was a new experience for me. I was always a home-body and never traveled much. I stuck to video games because they were my escape from reality. In high school I was the outsider. I tried to fit in but people knew I wasn't a "thug" at all. I was really into other shit and they could smell it off of me. I was picked on my freshmen year. Sometimes I was afraid to go to class but I dealt with it. Sophomore year I took up boxing. It was really good because it picked up my self-esteem and I got really fit from it. I still remember this one guy got upset at me because I forgot his $10 watch at gym and when he went back it was missing. So after that he tried to drag me into the bathroom with his other friends to fuck me up. It quickly turned into a 3-on-1 fight that I was surprised to come out the victor of. Guess bullies are all talk because they didn't really put up much of a fight. After hitting one they all just talked shit until the principal broke it up.

I met some great friends in high school that I still talk to now. I'm currently in college and I have a girlfriend that I've been with for 18 months. I'm doing very well for myself, getting all sorts of awards and shit. I picked up the guitar so I can jam with friends of mine but it's going very slowly since I don't own a guitar now and I returned the guitar I used to practice with.

Love life was fucked up just like everyone else's but I got over it quickly and just dated a lot during high school. Didn't take anything too seriously but I'm happy with my woman now.

That's my life in a nutshell.

ok i will keep it short, since we both know the typos are going to be killer here.


Born may 25 1975 in a really stable and enjoyable family. Mother stayed at home, father was a high voltage wire electrician. Hell, even my grandmother(mother's side) lived with us, and got along with my father. had a pool, mother raised show quality boxers(the dogs), including one akc champion, newport, life was great... Then asshole father decides that he was tired of having a good life and leaves my mother for a 23 year olf stripper. Family gets the boot, now living in miniscule house half hour away with grandmother,who luckily had some pensions that pretty much saved our asses. Mother takes job at card company(american greetings) and manages to sneak in 60-70 hours a week to try to get food on the table. worthless asshole father uses intimidation and emotional manipulation to make sure he never pays a dime of child support, nor alimony, as this did not exist in pa at the time, so we are essentially flat busted ghetto, though at least at this time, johnstown's crime level in negligeable so at least it was less risky than some poor neighborhoods.


I went from being a very smart, but shy kid who was loved by his teachers for his story telling abilities(my mother read to me and made sure i read since i learned my first written word) to a overwhelmingly hostile, bullying monster who hated everyone, never studied, and would attack anyone, male or female who i though was even mildly disrespecting me. at this time my only goal was to live long enough to get a gun and kill my dear father. Suffice to say, this happened around first grade, and i was a subhuman terror, who was not even allowed to go to lunch or the bathroom at the same time as the other kids, because every time i could, i would attack one of them. the only sanity i had at that time was a kid 2 years older than me who had first become friends with me when he thought i was someone else, we shared a love of video games(atari 2600 and arcades at the time) and arthurian/sword and sorcery stories, so i kind of looked up to him as a big brother figure, we are actually still friends, but thats later on.


around 3 rd grade and later, i found a few teachers who were able to see past the subhuman behavior and started to draw me out by heaping me down with writing assignments, always free form stories,and always read before the class. at first they were 90% crap and 10% funny, but gradually, i noticed the kids who were afraid of me were digging my stories, so they got much better, as i devoured pretty much every stand up comedy record and book i could get at the time, to refine my stuff. I still had a violent temper, but i was now getting into far fewer fights, and rarely straight up bullying anymore. that was not enough though, so i got held back, not for grades, as they were actually starting to fall into line, but because of my fighting. around 7th grade, i got really put in my place as a girl i had a huge crush on turned me down because of my violence, it seems corny to think one thing like this would change a guy, but i realized this was worth (not) fighting for. Also around the second 7th grade :sweat: i got some teacher who got in my face and really full on challenged me to get my potential. within 2 marking periods i had a b+average (cant do math in any form) and had won a regional short story contest for this comedy i had done.

also around this time(6th-7th gradev2.0) i had started gettign really religious. obviously the dad thing had me pretty down on the "god the father" metephore, but as i got more into understanding the world, i got really into marian devotion and the concept of the holy spirit, this was the embryonic beginnings of my vocation.

8th grade went by and i got into a local catholic high school, there i was more popular than i would have expected, since i could get almost any social group laughing pretty regularly. I kind of fell into a group that got called the 3 priests, as we all were shooting for vocations(also all 3 of us were at the same martial arts school), and as such could get a philosophical discussion going for almost a full class period, and did, often. also at this time my mother met my "true" father who, while boring as sin, had morals and discipline that my other one lacked. they were married after about a year of dating, and thats how i got my current surname "weible" (thus turning me german my adoption as well as genetics, and rocketing me, formerly "boyer" to the end of alphabetical seating arrangements :curse: ) At this time i dated a really wonderful girl named michelle, though we were too on and off to really ever consider a couple. and due to the inevitable clerical future for me, no point in looking at a future that you cant have, i kind of kept girls at arms reach. One good thing around this time was the birth of my little brother, who was good for me as i was able to steer 100% away from being anything like i was, kind of like getting a life to save after you messed up a significant portion of your own. He is now doing far better in school than i ever did, has never been in any fights, and is already teaching himself basic game design from some online stuff out there(his favorite is game maker). I guess i can consider that a win, a little nerdy, but sane.


3 years of yadda yadda later i went to a local college, university of pittsburg at johnstown, with a ending high school gpa of 2.85 or so, and a ending sat of 1170(720 verbal, 450 math, and you thought i was kidding when i said i cant do any math, eh?). I took psychology, and was preparing to enter the seminary upon graduation, when the psychologist who did my evaluation for the final step of admission stomped me down, he said i had severe authority issues, lack of leadership confidence, and a tendency to over-intellectualize, which indicated i was hiding something(in an interesting not of closure, both he and the priest recruiter at the time have both stepped down, after some of the guys they let through did some nasty things..i shouldnt gloat..but some times its hard not to :p ) plus it didnt help that during another test i had mentioned that i didnt see the problem with women beign ordained, a bit of a hot button then.

So, all my work gets scuttled and i become rudderless working at a grocery store and occasional youth homes, and grumblingly living at home, plus my grandmother's health starts taking a dive, so we all were pitching in and taking care of her, as her mobility was shot. and that was pretty much the situation till recently, a friend has helped me get a much better job with a local mental health agency, I have gotten back into martial arts and am going for my sam-dan, my evil father and i are slowly making up(the stripper left him, his house is condemned,and he is nearly bankrupt, my mother and later step-father too are actually helping him out, which shows exactly who my main catholic rolemodel in life was) though i still have to help care for my grandmother, who is still dealing with pretty severe leg ulcers,and golly gee, they have a strong hereditary basis, good to know for me :xx: . as a final bright spot, another friend is helping me circumvent the nonsense with the parish priests by helping me get in touch with the guys he is going into, the franciscans(i would rather be a jesuit, but hey, its all the same job in the end) so hopefully within 4 or so years i will finally be doing what i have to be doing, jsut witha different color outfit and less bookkeeping.

Long story short, I'm not too exciting. Right now, I work as a graphic designer, making ads, flyers, calendars, forms, ect. for the university bookstore at CSULB.

Um...what else? I might get a contract deal, making promos for Breakthrough Entertainment, a promoting company that's backing my brother's band.

Our family tends to be perpetually broke, but living comfy just the same. Don't ask any questions on the subject, please.

I had a girlfriend...she freaked out and burned out from college life. Told me it was her, not me. I still care about her. Matt says it's nothing but trouble. I really don't push anything in that regard right now - too busy finishing the semester.

I'm an art major. Have been into it since 3 - I saw SMB and Zelda instruction books, and wanted to draw 'stuff like that.' Hence my introduction to videogames, anime, manga, and all sorts of other styles since then. I've played with all sorts of mediums and techniques, but drawing and a mechanical pencil are where I'm at home.

Back further...I had 1270 on SATs, a 4.2 weighted GPA (3.85 when you don't count the AP/Honors denotations). My parents knew I wanted to go to college, but didn't have the money to send me, so I applied for loans, and took a year off school to work. That was...interesting...took a job in promotional photography. Meaning, babysitting kids, and coaxing them to sit still so they can get holiday pictures taken.

High school was silly. Had fun, had close friends. They all moved on, grew distant, and that's the way life is. I have good, close friends now, and....

Well, to make a short story shorter, let's just say that I'm happy with where I'm at, where I'm heading, and with where I've been.

I was born in Port Arthur, Texas in 84 and my mom says I won the sexy baby contest in the newspaper. My first word was "Car." 4 years later my mom gave birth to my sister and we moved to Groves (next to PA) for better schools. I was the good little bring home A's kid all that time and I was really into art stuff. I always felt a little nerdy and kinda non-belonging, but I had friends.

The summer before 6th grade I was at the beach cabin with my family and while my dad was watching the news on tv I was sitting in another chair thinking. It took about 5 seconds to finally understand everything weird in my life and I figured out that I was gay. So, I went home and cried for two nights and the secret ate at me for about 4 years until I told my first friends I made in High School. Through High School I made lots of really great friends, some that stuck around and some that did not. I made an effort not to hide my stupid secret from any of them because it made me feel guilty for whatever reason if they didnt know. One of my closest friends from middle school came back into my life and wanted to "go out" with me once he had heard about me through another friend. I loved him, but he was just a messed up guy. After a year of putting up with all his garbage I made a new set of friends (mostly guys, all my earlier friends were girls because I found them easier to talk to) that all took a great liking to me. All of my new friends were really different from me and in to their music/punk/metal scene and even though I don't really fit in and can't aways join in conversations, but they make kick ass friends anyway. Around that time my mother and father got a divorce because my mom wasnt getting any loving.

So I'm out of high school and going to a crappy community college. I don't have the slightest idea what to do with my life and I have a crush on one of my best (straight) friends. He knows I like him and it doesnt bother him, it's almost like we are better friends because of it. Me and him were going to the mall today and we got in a wreck. My car got hit from the side and it flipped over then got hit by another car that flipped us back up on our wheels. It was the scariest thing thats ever happened to me and if we would have gotten hit in a different place my friend or I might have died. This happened about 2 hours ago so sorry if this is a grammatical mess.

Other stuff:

I made an 1080 on my SAT (terrible at math stuff).
I gave up on doing anything art related in High School because I kind of got burnt out on it.
My mom and dad still do not know about me being gay because I have yet to work up the courage to tell them.
I'm not as gay as most gay people.
I eat at a Tex-mex place called Casa Ole about 3 times a week.
I hate college SO MUCH!!!

There's a lot of gay people in the design industry and it's so obvious who's gay and who isn't. But some gays are just like... normal or whatever. THey aren't flamboyant. -Born in 84 in N. Kentucky
-Did really well in grade school. Was always kind of quiet but I had a lot of friends. The area I lived in was really a shit whole and I got to watch my friends turn their lives into shit all before I got into middle school. They were always good friends though and respected me, so they made sure that I never got into any of that shit.
-Transfered to a nearby Catholic school for freshmen year. It was pretty cool, but I take a while to make real friends. The women there were excellent, and some very slutty. Almost had my first real girlfriend, this cute nerdy girl, but I ended up moving after 1st semester.
-My mom had to move to Milwaukee for her job. I was cool with moving cause it meant getting away from my moms large family (to my suprise, they have just started to trickly north).
-I really did not like highschool in Milwaukee. Had a real hard time making friends because most of the people in my town are stuck up and annoying. Eventually made some friends though, and it was a really good school with great teachers.
-Came to college. Met lots of friends and women. Started drinking, did it alot, had lots of good times, but didnt get that good of grades.
-Early on my 2nd year I wound up in the hospital w/ alcohol poisoning (they drew a .396 for my blood), kind of gave up on drinking.
-Still doing the college thing, meeting new people and thinking of things to do in this dinky little town that do not involve me getting smashed out of my mind.

I was born on April 6, 1981 in West Philadelphia, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. I lived in West Philly til I was 2. I still remember my first house fairly well. Then we moved to a neighborhood called "Northern Liberties" in northern central philly. At the time the place was straight ghetto, sorrounded on 3 sides by abandoned factories, and just down the block from a crack house. Our house cost $14,000, had no plumbing, no heat, no bathroom, and no kitchen. This was the place that I, too this day, most I identify as home, and the home which I have the fondest memories of. Funny how that works.

So my mom left, and got an apartment in New Jersey. She didn't see this as leaving my father when she did it, but that's what it was to him. They broke up not long after, but I still spent almost as much time at my dad's house as my mom's. He'd make the drive every other day to have me spend the evening with him. I went to school in New Jersey.

My dad fixed up the house (he's a carpenter, this was his intention all along), and it came out pretty nice. Still didn't have heat, but apart from that, it wasn't so rugged. The neighborhood was bad, and we got robbed a few times. There was a big arson problem too, and we had some cars burnt. But me I was a kid, and I was completely oblivious. All was well: the insurance covered us.

My dad remaried when I was 3. My mom met the man who was to become my stepfather when I was 7. He seemed nice enough at the time, and bought me crap to impress my mom. Then he got my mom knocked up, so they got a house, and eventually got married. Turns out my stepfather was an obsessive compulsive, emotionally stunted, abusive asshole who lived with his mother until he was 45, and things really went downhill from there. My mother isn't really right in the head either and between the two of them I just couldn't take it.

So from the time I was 9 until I was 11 I devoted all my energy to getting out of my mother's custody. At 11 she grudgingly handed me over to my father. I was accepted into Masterman, a school for the gifted in Philadelphia, but when my stepmother got pregnant, they opted to move to Jersey, and I never attended.

So then I ended up in Woodbury a little shit suburb about 5-10 miles outside of Philly. It's cute to look at, but I never adjusted all that well socially. I always had freinds, but never a real clique. My freinds rarely liked each other, nor did their freinds like me. I never liked the people in my high school, never went to dances, never dated a girl from my home town (Dated a few from nearby towns though, I wasn't completely alone throughout highschool). I started to make more and more long distance freinds. My dad was pretty lax about things like curfew, so overnight trips to new york were cool as long as I let him know before I left. I still have alot of these freinds (most of them orthodox jewish girls... don't ask).

I was a depressed teen, like so many. I spent most of my teenage years on various anti-depressants that didn't work. I eventually became really self-loathing and self destructive, and when I was 17, I turned to alcohol as my medium for self destruction. I quickly spun out of control, drinking sometimes 20 or so drinks a night, drinking all the time, just to get to sleep, going to school drunk... I was a mess. I indulged in other recreational drugs as well, but none of them fucked with me like alcohol (At least not in the addictive sense... I did have one really bad amphetamine overdose experience). I was bad to my freinds too. I still really hate who I was at this time, but what didn't kill me made me stronger.

I got sober at 18, and stayed that way for 2 or 3 years (I still only drink in small amounts, and only socially). When I finally managed to get the hang of sbriety, I found I had a much clearer image of myself and a renewed optimism. I've been pretty happy from then on. I graduated high school with the lowest GPA and the highest SATs in my graduating class. I went to Camden County College in Camden, NJ for a year where I maintained a 4.0 GPA and then transferred to Rutgers. CCC was cool, there were cool people there. It was a good year.

Coming to Rutgers was great. I made freinds easily freshman year (and have made frighteningly few since) and for the first time had a real clique of freinds I could hang out with as a group. My first year at Rutgers is probably the best year I've had. Sophomore was slightly worse, but still great. But the cracks were starting to show. Junior year one of my best freinds moved away to go live down south, and I became anti-social toward the end of the year. This year my freind moved back, and things were more or less like old times, and she and I are getting ready to move in together, and things have been pretty good overall, except the coherence of my little circle of freinds is quickly dissolving as we all near graduation. Kinda depressing, but inevitable.

Which brings us to the present. I guess I haven't had a very happy childhood, but I've been a happy adult. I really do have an indominable sense of optimism, and live a contented life.

It's good to see folks overcome adversity and turn negatives into positives. I hope things work out well for you, Frogacuda.

After reading that, I have a whole load of respect for you, frog. Not many people can get their act together, and many with less crap to deal with. Cool stuff.

There's alot of people with worse stories than me. I mean I was always fed at least, and had my needs taken care of. I had at least one good dependable parent (my father). I mean that's alot more than some people I know had. I didn't mean my story to sound like a hard luck tale or anything. Alot of my problems (like my alcholism) were my own damned doing.

Right now is the most interesting point of my life thus far.

My parents have finally decided to get a divorce after about 22 years of marriage. My mom had wanted to get a divorce off and on for the past 5 years. So they are selling the house that I think of as my "home". Over the past month I've had to go through my house and throw away a bunch of stuff that I had previously decided were things worth hanging on to. Also, my cat recently died, which really sucked because I"ve had him for as long as I can remember.

I'm starting to worry about my amount of drinking. I went to Panama for about 11 days over spring break and I got drunk all day, every day. I cut back a little since coming home, but not as much as I'd like to. Im concerned because alcoholism is in my genes.

I'm involved in the first serious relationship of my life. Prior to this I always avoided committment and all that, but I decided this girl was worth it. Unfortunately I met her right after she got out of a 2 year relationship with another girl. Its tough being crazy about a girl who is still in love with someone else, but I think I'm gonna wait it out a little longer in hopes that she gets over her. At first I thought having a bisexual girlfriend would be cool, but that hasn't been the case so far.

I was born Dec. 15th, 1972, in an old folk's home in Altringham, England. Been there once, in Dec, small place. I remember that England was cold, and I had much fun throwing my sisters things out the 2nd floor window, then running downstairs, collecting it, then doing it all over again.

At 5, mashed potatoe highway to Sherman Oaks, Ca. I remember that my dad played soccer (At Pierce College just off the 101), and I was always at his games running around and doing stupid things. I never was one to watch him play back then, though I wish I did. He was MVP of the league in '77 or so and I always run into people that know him.

Year later, moved to Newbury Park, Ca. They threw my ass in "Speech Therapy" at school. It's called an English Accent not a speech problem, but I digress. Made 2 good friends, Brian and Dennis (Brian and I always had birthday parties on a Sat and a Sun, he was born Dec. 13th).

Blah, blah, blah, school sucks, played soccer, got in trouble. Always did well on my tests, (we did a thing called the CTBS test annualy and I always got 99th percntile), I pretty much a nerd with hiked up socks.

Summer before 8th grade, a guy named John Cassarietti moved next door. We had a few classes together and we hung out all the time. That's pretty much the point where everything went to shit.

Well, I shouldn't say shit, it was some of the most fun I'd ever had up until then. John and I generally did horrible things, like take his mothers car out for a drive, made girls cry with asmusing poems about them, and got kicked otu of class almost daily. My grades went down and I stopped hanging around Brian and Dennis.

In HS, I wasn't popular per se, but John was, and since we were best friends that kind of put me in that loop. Met chicks, got laid, played football (only injury that hurts me to this day), created mayhem, bad grades. Got a job at 16 lining softball fields, which is pretty much putting the bases out and then sitting there for 6 hours. Easiest money ever.

Started to drink with John and the rest. My parents knew about it, but weren't very stern in punishing me. I got caught passed out on a corner at 16 from too much vodka. Next day, they bought me a truck. I pretty much did what I wanted and had fun with it.

9th - 11th grade were soccer, parties, chicks and beer after beer almost every night. I look back now, at the mindblowingly stupid things we did and I cannot believe that none of us died or seriously hurt someone else. We used to get drunk, then drive around town with our lights off. Stupid, I know, but that's the sort of thing that we enjoyed.

I drank at work, I drank at school in the bathroom. 12 Keystones were hidden under the trunk of my Toyota truck next to the battery and I got to enjoy drinking warm beer. Don't ask me now, it must have been necessity.

I played my video games, I played Soccer (Dad was the Varsity Coach) and lived life.

12th Grade, working with John at Little Ceaser's (horrible mess of mayhem there) met a chick there who I instantly hated. We would yell at each other daily, she the stern Christian and I the bastard Athiest. I must have made her cry every other day.

One day, she, Stacy was her name, invites me over to her house after I got her name in some stupid fucking Secret Santa Shit at work. Shocked me, but never had a chick ask me to come over before, so I go.

One thing leads to another, and we date. We keep on dating for a year and things change. At the start, I was completely cruel to her and played mind games with her daily. We had some earth shattering sex, and that's about the point where I learned that a woman has complete control over me when I want to bang them. Still, we had some good times and she was one of the coolest people I've known. When I was with her, I stopped drinking completely, not because she asked me to, just because it seemed old to me.

Long story short, she dumped me on Christmas eve, 1990. Broke my heart and literally crushed me. Took years to get over that one, and there were times when I wished her dead over and over. I blamed her for making my life shit.

Few years pass, into community college now (drinking constantly again) and I'm not dating anyone else. It was during that time, when all the emotion had gone that I could finally see what it was we had. I wasn't nice to her, I was totally cruel, and she had just had enough. She had asked me to marry her, and of course I said yes, but she reached her limit and left. I suppose she was mature and wanted to live life and sure wasn't.

That in hand, drink less, play more soccer (did a year with a Mexican Mafia team, got paid 100 a game which is verboten in college) and date chicks again. By now, I'm completely acessable to women and there for them always. Yeah, I was a pussy.

Got walked over time and time again and thought it was me that was fucked up. The worst was Aimee, who turned into a stripper. She was hot as sin, funny and we pretty much bathed in sin for a few years. If there was something to do, we did it. Mental note, a stripper, 60 bucks and a tattoo parlor do not mix.

One day, she just up and ran away, never heard from here. She got comitted to some rehab program in Utah (She was a heavy drug user). I dare say those were the darkest years of my life for a bit, became a citizen, new name, blah blah blah.

94 rolls around, I have no clue what's going on, play on a Sunday league team. Guy on the team went to a place called California Polytechnic @ San Luis Obispo, told me I should apply. Shit grades, amigo. Soccer.

Talked to the coach, he got me in. Go there for 2 years, meet Mike and Jen (Still great friends with both) and have the time of my life. Discover weed at 22, life changes for the worse. Don't go to class, get baked and play games all day, get in debt up to my ass and pretty much fuck myself up completely. About the only good thing I can point to is that I'm a more stable person towards others, hey, but when you smoke trees every day that's bound to happen.

Come back to Newbury Park in 96, hang with stoners and get high all the time, do nothing, more debt. 97 rolls around and I get a small scholarship to CSUDH for a year to play ball. Take that as a 2nd chance, quit weed (done it maybe 5 times since then) and have fun. 98, working in a warehouse, don't talk to my father and dispise the man, living with the coach of my team. Life sucks, start smoking, but at least I'm semi independant and I pay off every single penny of my debt by driving that fucking forklift.

1999-2000 GF. Best job ever, great times that still make me laugh to this day. Break my arm in 6 places, become addicted to perscription pain pills. Figure there are worse things in life and I don't spend money on them. Make up with the old man, Aimee returns and we have a good 3 months, ask her to marry me, says she'll think about it (I knew then), come home the next day and she's gone. Never heard from her again.

Since then, I've worked hard at times and not at all mostly. I try to enjoy the small things in life and have fun. I'm not the most productive man in the world, but generally I'm amiable to others and just do my own thing. My life didn't turn out how I expected so far, but I've made my own luck, take responsability for my own failures and successes and know that all of it is due to my own action/unaction.

Got a job interview tomorrow, which would be nice to get. There is a Lancer Evolution out there that I must claim. Teh End.
