Iran helping out in Iraq.

Iran in recent weeks has stepped up its diplomatic efforts in Iraq and has helped in the release of hostages and actively stopped planned attacks against coalition forces and civilian targets alike.
A bunch of Irani religious leaders have travelled to Iraq to try to defuse the situation and help the situation from getting out of hand even more then it already has.
In essence Irani clerics and diplomats have become indespensable in the efforts to pacify Iraq.

I was wondering how many of you were aware of this and what the reporting about this is like in the part of the world you live in.

I think I saw something about that in the local paper.

Didn't pay much attention to it, though. I've got more serious things to think about at the moment.

I believe I heard about it on the television, not quite sure though. It seems that Iran is starting to conform to international standards with this and giving up their nuclear weapons.

Cnn has been talking about it quite a bit, i think a crossfire dealing with it was a few weeks ago, also aaron brown did a good bit on it. a lot of recent attention was paid to the iranain negotiator in falluja who got gunned down. but yeah, it has been talked about.

Urm what does this have to do with Nuclear weapons(wich Iran does not have BTW)?

Nothing about it on Fox. Fox's newest EXCLUSIVE BREAKING STORY is some minor Hillary Clinton scandal. They've been harping on it while glossing over anything related to Iraq.

To be fair, a lot of the news right now is going around the election. another reason i amon the computer so much. and as for fox..i actually dont know what channel fox news is on:sweat: they have it on at my gym, but thats in the cardio room, and i dont go there much. But i will say one thing, it is nice to see a group who, under kahmeni(yes, i know i butchered it, you know who i mean) hated us become more open to co-operating with us, how much is from gratitude for our help from the earthquake, fear of instability migrating over there, or just fear that we will be looking at them next, i cant say, but its good to see some people in the region helping us out.

edit: make that the election and 9/11 commision, a lot of people are interested in who dropped the ball on that one, i think you can sympathise.
