Why should McDonald's be any different?

Seriously, FX, I have several friends in the business world, and they say naming a new CEO within an hour of the death of the old one just doesn't happen. It's the most cold-blooded thing they've ever seen in a business that is normally cold-blooded by nature.

I'm sure McDonald's has a corporate structure in place to allow a quick change of guard should someone high-up die. It's probably common practice in the corporate world.
