Let us know your impressions when you can. VJ was the last game I bought (Nov 03). I took a year off of gaming, just started playing VJ again, I'm near the end and enjoying it. VJ2 will probably be my next purchase when I'm finished with the first one.

Neither EB or Gamestop got in their copies. Even though I got the call from Gamestop yesterday to come pick it up here, the employees seemed dumbfounded when I asked them.

They looked over their papers of what came in today, and lo and behold, no Viewtiful Joe 2. So I put in my zip code, and some other ones through the US for both EB and Gamestop, and every single of them has 0 copies with more on the way.

So I guess I'll have to get it Monday.

EDIT: It seems some stores got it, some stores didn't. The Gamestop 20-25 miles from me got a copy, but luckily they can transfer preorders between stores so I'll just go pick it up today.

Oh no, it ended up being the Gamestop I preordered from lied to me about not getting in any more shipments, and they got a shipment in at 4:30, after I already drove out of my way to get it someplace else.

No one else got or is playing this game?

It's alot like the first one, which is just fine with me. I finished the first level, and so far I'm loving it, definately worth a purchase. Alot of reviews I read claimed they didn't like Silvia as a character, but I think she's great.

Been playing it some more, on Adults mode, and the difficulty still seems to be intact, so it didn't suffer from the "Capcom dumbing down it's sequels" syndrome.

So far, an A+ game.

Unlocked some of the 36 chambers, and wow, it's a challenge.

Apparently, this game holds no secrets at all other than unlockable difficulties like the first, and the 36 chambers. Kind of shocked Capcom didn't go all out with the secrets like the first game =/

I've been playing it for the past week or so. The first four levels are awesome--amazing stuff. But even in the fourth the game starts showing evidence of sloppy obnoxious design (too many screen effects, too much shaking, too many enemies and projectiles to keep track of). I just got done playing one level (reel 5, act 2) that was quite possibly the worst idea ever for this game. I hope it goes back to be fucking awesome.

Not sure how I feel about the new Replay power.

Silvia seems far too weak in her attacks to use it right, and it dosen't work with her guns =/

Replay is mostly useful for solving puzzles. And Silvia's pretty shit in combat...until you purchase her Desperado upgrades.

Yea... I've gotten one of them, and she got a little bit better.

She was great for the second stage boss, though.

The 36 chambers, on the other hand, are hard as fuck, and there's no way i'm going to take the effort to beat them unless I know I'm getting the best reward in the world.
