It's the latest game from the makers of Perfect Cherry Blossom. There's info about it in a thread at insertcredit.com.
The second I read "Perfect Cherry Blossom" I was back at the top, downloading. I'll be finishing up here fast, I've got a nice shooty evening all planned out now. :)

Grrr....spread not so openly by me, and now here before I have a chance to say anything. Such speed is the internet.
Anyway, let me spooge you with information.

Paradecia moon has been broken! This is a serious unprecidented event!
Such is the story of Imperishable Night. After many conflicts most of the previous boss characters are now working with Reimu and Marisa against a new threat, one that comes in the form of the night. It seems that forces are working against time itself and night starts to eternally develop the land. It is now up to the girls to solve this matter, and repair time.
In teams of 2, the girls powers are unique to each. One character is a phantom and the other human. Human characters are the only ones that are able to see and hit tsukaima. The Tsukima are slaves of human enemies, destroying the human enemy will cause a chain reaction, and destroy all slaves.
Here are the descriptions of each pairing.
Reimu & Yukari:
-Their hitboxes (with respect to bullets only?) are smaller.
-As long as you have one bomb in stock, you will always get an Auto Last Spell/autobomb when hit.
-Reimu can pass through all enemy tsukaima unharmed. (This applies to Yukari too of course, as she's a phantom...)
Marisa & Alice:
-Their hitboxes with respect to items only are bigger.
-The point at the top of the screen where point items yield their greatest value and all items are auto-collected is lower down.
-Marisa can auto-collect items at the top of the screen even without full power. (Again, this applies to Alice by default since she's a phantom.)
Sakuya & Remillia:
-Their graze ranges are larger.
-If you die with bombs in stock, one bomb item will pop out along with the usual power-ups.
-Items fall slower when Sakuya is active. This does NOT apply to Remillia!
Youmu & Yuyuko
-The human/blue/negative side of their gauge is only half the normal length.
-If you have fewer than 3 bombs in stock when you clear a stage, you'll be awarded a freebie.
-Youmu doesn't have any special properties, but she does get a tsukaima.
That bar in the lower left is the Phantom Ratio bar, and in general it goes toward the left/blue/-100% as you use the human/fast characters and right/red/+100% as you use the phantom/slow characters. As the bar approaches one of the extremes, the value of the point items goes up, topping out at 80% (plus or minus). Collecting the time cards (little pinkish orbs) or shooting stuff will make it move toward whichever character type you're using; using a spell card will move it straight to 100%. (But remember, the autobomb is activated by the character you're NOT using, so it can throw you all the way to the other side of the gauge!) Doing nothing or shooting enemy tsukaima will push the bar toward the center, and dying will set it back to 0%.
Having it over +80% or under -80% has some other benefits besides giving you more points from point items. Enemies will give up time cards when killed even if they don't have tsukaima, and you'll continuously earn points (though not many). If it's under -80% you'll earn time cards just for shooting things, and if it's over +80% you'll earn them from scratching bullets and your shot will be stronger.
So there are benefits either way, but it seems like +100%, red, phantom, slow, etc. is the way to go, if only because shooting tsukaima will drop it toward 0% like a rock, making it hard to maintain a -100%...
(Also: Since Youmu is half-phantom, her gauge can only go down to -50%, and she earns the usual 80% benefits at only -30%.)
On time:
You earn time in two ways: collecting time cards (by taking out tsukaima, either directly or even better by taking out the enemy that's using them, or by one of the methods covered in my post above) and earning spell card bonuses (500 time each). Time will do two things for you. First, it increases the value of the blue point items, like cherry points did in PCB. You can see the current max value on top of the Phantom Ratio gauge.
Second, it increases your rank, which is a good thing. On the right beneath Power, Graze and Point are two numbers for time; the first number is the time collected this stage, and the second is the time norm. Every time you exceed the time norm, your rank goes up, and you'll get a new norm. If you keep going the numbers will turn red and you won't get a new norm; at this point you're at the highest rank, and you'll be rewarded with an enemy Last Spell Card at the end. At the end of the stage, time will pass, anywhere from 2 hours to 30 minutes depending on your rank (better rank = less time passes). In the full version, you will have from 11 PM to 5 AM to beat the game or get a bad ending; if you can finish the demo by 1:30 AM, I'd say you're doing OK.
Bombing or dying will sap a bit of your collected time, both on the right as it impacts rank and over the Phantom Ratio gauge as it impacts score. The penalties don't seem near as bad as they were in PCB, though.

DL'ed this last night & it is easily one of the nicest JPC shmups I've messed around with. It has Really high production values.

Eiya.rar is 110+ MB, while Imperishable_Night.zip is 20MB. Apparently I need to snag WinRAR to see what's in eiya.rar, but in the meantime can anyone fill me in on the differences in the two? That 90MB difference is a bit extreme.

"Eiya.rar" contains the .wav music, while "Imperishable_Night.zip" is just the midi music.
Really cool, but it seems a lot easier then the prior ones, although my high score isn't as high as those posted in the linked thread. I think mine's 209 million+ or something.
