Christ, I'm still unemployed/in dept and I can't even get a loan for something fancy like that.
Nice ride.
Been thinking about buying a WRX for a while now. Either that or a Lancer Evo.
Congrats on the purchase.
I hope you 'break in' the back seat soon.
Should've bought a grocery-packer, that way he'd have room for 4. :DQuote:

The WRX has no arm rest. I can get an optional arm rest for about $120.
$120 for a head blocker!? No thanks. :)
It is a nice car and very fun to drive.
The Evos are cool too.
AWD rules.
I'm not a huge fan personally, but new cars are always fun.
Get some different rims fo'sho!
Enjoy!
Yeah, any recomendations?Quote:

Is that a Subaru? I always wondered how Subaru never went bankrupt, until I moved here. West Virginia alone can easily support Subaru, as 9 out of 10 cars here is one. In normal states you see Subarus about as often as you see Bentleys :)
It's better than what I learned on! If it makes ya feel any better, I'm twice your age and I'm learning to drive manual on this car. Yeah, it can suck.Quote:

Actually congratulations, nice ride.
I hate you.
Yes, those are Subarus. Nice looking car. Congrats on the purchase.
You bum, that's the car I want... so when you gonna come by so I can check it out ;)
One of these days, first I have to fix up my car though :p
Stick sucks. I stall out so often I barely drive. :-/Quote:

Our lawyer ended up buying a silver one, but he moved last year. And one of the other doctors in my dad's practice got a Lancer Evo VII, for the sake of competing on back roads during their lunch breaks with my dad. I'm surprised they haven't been arrested yet.
Keep with it. Driving a manual is a thing of beauty.Quote:

For some reason the idea of doctors getting all "fast ands furious" on thier lunch breaks is funny. :)
I know stick's better, because damn that car handles amazingly. But it's just a pain to learn. I can't feel what gear I'm in sometimes (hand issue) and I just generally suck with the clutch. Hills are a huge pain, and we have a steep one+stop sign right near me that I always die on.Quote:

I've been looking at these recently, too.. maybe in 3 or so years, when I'm ready to buy again, this'll be my next car.
Congrats.. it's sweet.
Eventually you'll know, by the feel/sound of the engine.Quote:

Wish we had an STi, our WRX is from... Hm, don't remember specifically, but it wasn't long after they were out here.
Cars rock. Though I will probably only drive a little Japaneese thingy forever. My dream vehicle is an R.V. with a telescope in the back, flat screen T.V. inside, refrigerator and shower. So my friends and I can all play video games and watch movies while we look for aliens with teh telescope.
nice ride man, i'm jealous
if i ever get a job it's between WRX or RSX-S (or RX8 if i'm making some bank). How is the insurance on that thing? I heard they rape you.
Ok here's some good ones. I think Rotas are the way to go, since I doubt you want to drop about 3g's on Volk/Work/Gram Lights/Advan/etc.Quote:

Subydude.come is the best website to order Rotas from. Here are a few of my favorite ones (BTW my favorite color of rims on WRB WRX is gold, but these all come in silver, black, polished, and gunmetal)
Here are some links to the rims, each with pricing and pics on cars. If you want more pictures of rims/cars/whatever PM me. I'll be glad to help a fellow WRX owner pick out a good pair of shoes.
Rota Actions
Rota Torque
Rota Formel
Rota SDR
Rota Tarmac II
Rota Subzero
Rota Downshift
It's actually not that bad, so long as you don't have a bad history. My father's had a few speeding tickets here and there, but we don't pay too much more than we did for his old Dodge Durango. Granted, this is Ohio. If it were California, I bet the insurance would be more.Quote:

I'd love to own one someday, that or an RX-8... but considering I'm already thousands of dollars in debt for college and there's nothing too terribly wrong with my Contour Sport, I don't think I'm in the market for anything like that anytime soon.
I guess my Bit Char-G WRX will have to do for now. :|
Oh, and the WRX blue is always the right choice. It's such an awesome color.
haha, well said.Quote:

This is why it's good to be 31 years old and have nothing on your record.
I believe this news.
Well, than again, I don't have a car so it's not like I have car insurance...
I'm 25. I have four speeding tickets within the last year. I drive a Scion xA.
My insurance is $88.50 a month.
Pwned.
cool car, though they're far too common aroundmy parts.
them and skylines...
$6800!!?? im 25, drive an '03 grand am gt (considered a sports car) and have nothing on my record and i pay $80 a month. and i thought that was a lot. jesus.....close to $7000!?Quote:

The joys of living in Jersey. It goes down quite a bit when ya hit 25 though. I don't think anyone in NJ pays 80 a month for insurance.Quote:

My insurance will go down next year when I turn 30 and also my ticket will be off the record by then.
The insurance for an STi is crazy. I couldn't afford that even if I wanted the STi.
I like the look of the gold rims, but I don't think I'll get them. Unless I find a pair that I fall in love with. Like it was said, far too common. They look awesome on a black car though.
Please leave it stock or get machined metal rims.Quote:

How about some of those rims I showed you in a gunmetal color?
I'm guessing those tickets weren't in the Scion, is even possible to speed in one of those?Quote:

Don't go with black, because while they look really nice at a stand-still, they look like steelies from afar, and I wouldn't spend $600+ on a wheel just so it could look like a $20 steelie.
I don't really like how chrome looks on any car, including the WRX.
Its light, so its actually kind of quick. And I have an amazing 6hp boost from my intake. OMG AMAZING!Quote:

Go with whatever rims you want and don't listen to anyone elses 'style'.
Excellent taste you have in cars... I want take one for a nice spin sometime.
Personally though, I'm more of a "buy and old car and fix it up" kind of guy.
Yeah, I know. I just don't even really know where to look.Quote:

I dunno about the stock system in a WRX, though I do know that the WRX STI does not come with a radio at all.
Thats because music ADDS WEIGHT! AND MAKES YOU SLOW!
Oddly enough, both the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and the Subaru WRX STI weigh exactly 3,263 pounds.
Duh. It's like a damn chess match between those two, so I've heard/read. They try to stay the same or better on everything over the other. A lot of their roadtest times are incredibly similar, too.Quote:

What really sucks for me is that I put Infinity Kappas (I love 'em) in the Sunfire with a sub and it sounds about 1000X better than the WRX.
By the end of this summer, I'll have either Alpine, Polk, or Infinity in the Subaru. I wish I was made of money. Good thing I have lots of games and toys to sell. :)
Both are nice cars. I personally prefer the look of the Subaru over the EVO.Quote:

The STI and EVO are comparable, one is quicker 0-60 and the other is quicker in the quarter mile.
Mitsubishi isn't satisfied with that, which is why the Lancer EVO MR is coming.
Im posting this here, cause it kind of fits.
You wouldnt think a Geo Metro can really go that fast, right? That is what my cousin thought. He was a little drunk, and he knew he was speeding. However, he thought he was doing 80 (that is what the speedometer goes to in a Metro). When he was pulled over the cop informed he was doing 135mph...wtf?
Anyway, he is going to try and argue that down in court on the basis that a metro cannot possibly go that fast. The dui does not help his case any though.
No way in hell that Geo Metro was doing 135 unless it was also going off a cliff.
wow it's not even 700CDN a year for me.
Shit I'm pretty drunk right now, I think maybe 90 is a good estimate , Idon't know, a Metro going over 100 is a pretty crazy idea. I think the cop fucked your friend over.Quote:

Nope, not yet. Hopefully if the MR does well, Subaru of America will step up and release a track prep Sti here. And then maybe they'll bring over the Legacy Sti, the Forester Sti, etc..Quote:

There is so much I want to do with this car, I may need to take another job, or sell all my games.
The SDR are probably Rota's most popular rims on Subarus; good choice. Their new Torque rims look hot as well.
SDR's are affordable and hold up well on the road. Which set of tires are you thinking of getting? I can't recommend Bridgestone Potenza S-03's enough! They have the most grip out of any tire I have ever used.
I have no idea on the tires yet. I'm not sure if I want all weather year round tires, or keep the stock rims for winter tires. The weather in CT is fairly shitty in the winter months.
