im about 2 hours in, atmosphere is key, im enjoying it more than i expected to. i hate the first person perspective, but metroids bring me back each time. not too far in, so nothing much to contribute, besides my admiration of the game.

Some pittiful comments in here. But anyway I've put in about 4 hours and I'm loving it just as much of not more than the first Metroid Prime gamene of the better games that year.
Also from all the games I've played this year (minus Halo 2 since I have yet to play it) it's definately been (so far) one of the best and enjoyable ones, but I won't say for sure till I finish it.

I'd rather play Halo, own a Gamecube, and not be impotent.Quote:

Got to the Boost Guardian yesterday and got my ass handed to me the first time. Then the second I actually started hurting him, then got my ass handed to me. My third try I figured out how to nail him hard and then got my ass handed to me, fourth try the pain was getting dished out both ways and he handed me my ass one last time. Fifth try was the icing on the cake, I proceeded to whoop his ass up and down, I still took a lot of damage but in the end I won with two energy tanks still full.
Thats the beauty of this game, it's difficult to the point where each time you get a little better and figure something out just a bit more so it never gets to the point of frustration or cheap kills. Everything is challenging for the right reasons.
Did I say I'm loving this game?
Well I am.

I think he had more than that number of tanks, but he had 2 full tanks left. Since he "still took a lot of damage" but "still had 2 tanks full" he probably had about 4.
Im loving it so far. I just recently got killed after going a while without saving. Im a little scared to load it up and see where I last saved. My only gripe is that the pacing feels a little too fast. I dunno. Still, all in all, its fantastic.
Everyone turn the hint system off. It's really the only way to play, and it makes this one feel less hurried.
Though I think the hint system only kicks in on this one if you're way out of your way.
