I'm all for a good tough boss fight but when the AI just plays so cheap and gives you no chance it brings a game down a few notches for me. Last Blade 2 Boss, so damn cheap and crazy attacks that drain your whole life.
I was playing the TG-16 Vigilante and the Bosses are so cheap, they regenerate life while your fighting them. What a joke. This is much harder than the SMS version.

hated boss.
The guy at the end of Bushido Blade 2 comes to mind, he would teleport to the other side of the level whenever you attacked him.

Most anything that's involving SNK and fighting games. In fact, most fighting games have just plain annoying bosses. Whenever Burnout 2 cheats it ticks me off but the game is so easy this rarely comes into play.I don't know if you don't know.Quote:

Yeah SNK bosses are notoriously cheap, the worst being: 2k2 Rugal, 96/SvC Geonitz, and of course 2k1's Igniz. (Another Neo Geo great is Fernandeath/Fernandez from Sunsoft's Waku Waku 7. That's one cheap ass boss, in fact when I encounter a tough boss and relate the story to my friends, I often say "He/she/it busted a Fernandez.")
The 4th stage (I think it's the fourth) Boss of Ikaruga comes to mind. Whatever, it's the one where it's a giant orb and you have to manuever your way around it by managing your ship in the tight space between the outer wall and the boss itself. That thing was a mother-bitch.
